The problem with getting such a big lead in this game is...IF we continue to extend this lead, we don't have a bench to play all of the mop up minutes... :thumb:

Malcolm played with a lot of fire that first half, and didn't let the team get complacent. Nice to see him getting more comfortable with his role as a leader.

Any one else think John Groce has the best Big Ten Network commercial. Beilein's is second, but's its not particularly close.

Why is AA in the game? Nothing against the kid, but this is the sort of game where all our Frosh should be getting big minutes.

I feel you can say that about aa anytime. He's pretty bad defensively and that's apparently the reason he plays. Not to be too harsh, but dj dubs should take all his minutes going forward.

Morgan and Williams are playing much better.... Good sign for next year. I guess this performance shows the value of finally having a good AD in place.
I bet he sent some game plan notes to the staff this afternoon.

The first half looks like the team I was expecting Groce to run. It's just Rutgers but... that was exciting basketball from us. We pushed the ball, ran pick and rolls, and even called sets when the motion stopped on O. If we can do that more against the better teams then we'll be alright in the future.

The AD hire apparently has me in a good mood. In one half against Rutgers I can see the light lol.

Give Whitman an extension!

I imagine it was something along the lines of:

Three Keys to Victory
1) Make over half your shots
2) Make over half of your three (I can't stress this enough)
3) Schedule Rutgers

Long live the Whitman Era!!! :hailtotheorange:

I'd like to see him rebound better, but he's fun to watch on the offensive end.

Yep. Amazing what good things happen when you play fast and loose

Would like to see Finke get it going again. He's really struggled lately on both ends.

He hasn't been the same since the knee contusion. Hopefully he comes around. And hopefully they sit him if he's not 100%. Same goes for Malcom (sorry those of you who took the Illini and laid the points.

Agreed. However, it seems that it all started with the injury in the Minnesota game. I believe that this should be firmly blamed on the training staff (again)... ;)

So do we start Hill at PG next year? Lucas will only be a freshman and Abrams coming off 2 big surgeries.
