I get why he wants to be quick. When it goes in it usually opens up a nice passing lane to someone open outside. But that's why he needs to be aware of what his defender is doing, so he knows whether he has time to go to the basket rather than passing up an open pass.

If we are going to shoot this poorly we will not be a great team. When the shots are not falling get the ball to the free throw line for a post pass or some back cuts! Basic zone offensive principals. That will open up the outside. We should be blowing this team out. They are not good. Three of every four of our shots is a three and we are hitting 20% and have gone to the line 5 times. Not ideal.
They're giving Hawkins that 5 footer all day. He's playing great but he's gotta snap out of Ben Simmons mode a bit more.
Stop jacking up threes. We have more length than this team and can beat them inside the paint.

Syracuse seems completely content with Hawkins shooting 7 footers. I say he just turns and shoots them about 60 percent of the time he gets it in there.
I think the UCLA game might be getting his head a little big. Dude thinks he's Steph Curry and can pull up and hit from anywhere on the court. That's not his game.

The "noise about his lack of halftime adjustments" is a fundamentally dumb concept when you actually look at our results. It stems from one bad game against Loyola that people won't shut up about. Coach has multiple banners and you think BU doesn't make halftime adjustments.
