Being up 1, 22 to 21 and UCONN not scoring in 5 minutes was a massive mistake. We should have went up 10. To much 1 on 1 and no passing. Cant be missing free throws and dribbling ball on leg. We have to get through their screens better or we're toast.

Once again the tale of the game is they hit shots, a couple of really lucky ones, and we didn't. Really liked our effort after getting used to their motion and screens. We got busted in the mouth, and then hit them back.

But things change during the course of a game. One team cools off and the other gets hot. Seen it literally a thousand times. Hoping that is the case today and we can continue a high level of play to the final horn....when the Illini lead.

Tough break for us as we are having too many threes boing off the heel of the rim which is a pretty good effort. UConn is boinging theirs off the backboard and into the net...which in my world is an air ball rewarded with 3 pts. Can't beat a really lucky team....but things can change.

They are banking in 3s, we are airballing 3s. Can't happen for the next 20 minutes.

Just terrible, terrible shooting. Where were the Andrej drives when we had the lead and in the bonus? But he's gotta make FTs in that situation. Or feed Tomi a few times down low. We've been good at adjustments in the tournament so far. We need some now. And we need to hit open shots.

Bingo. We are winning rebounding battle.

Make some shots and it is a lot better results.

Sometimes it really comes down to just putting the ball in the hoop.

Exactly. The four extra made 3's by UCONN is the reason they lead. We hit some more of our open looks, the score looks much different.

If we get into a 3 pt shooting contest we will probably not win. UConn had 7 fouls with 9 minutes left in half and we didn’t drive. Need to make FT’s.
