Edey continues to just elbow his way to baskets to close out his career.
Yeah and his fourth was a moving screen. Silly comment by Hill there.Grant Hill “he used his fouls wisely” - dude had at least two really stupid fouls when you’re going against Edey.
Always been the case, but every B1G team had to use perimeter defenders to double Edey....and all their players could shoot a great % from the arc.Take the three away from PU and they are average
I found it to be a refreshing change from the elbow to the face that he normally showcasesThe patented Edey shoulder to the head, lol.
With how complete this UConn team is, it was a bad plan. They can just spread their aggressiveness and fouls everywhere and have more to spare. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. That was Illinois's gameplan, just never happened.
Other stats of the game: Rebounding. 35-26 UCONN, offensive 13-6 UCONN. Purdue non Edey scoring in the second half - 4 points.Stat of the game
UConn: 16 assists and 5 turnovers
Purdue: 6 assists and 9 turnovers
For the outcome of this game? Obviously not. I was merely making the point that UConn is quite efficient despite not being great shooters.Do shooting percentages even matter anymore when you're about to win a title game by 20?
