USMNT and El Tri played to a 1:1 draw in Glendale, AZ tonight.

U.S. now unbeaten in their last 5 vs. El Tri. Mexico hasn't defeated U.S. since a 3:0 win in a friendly in September 2019.

Two sides will face one another in a Nations League semifinal on June 15 in Vegas.

Manchester City completes the treble. Defeats Inter Milan 1:0 in the Champions League final.
Watched this game at two different pubs in Castlebar, Ireland. At the first bar, which really reminded me of Murphy‘s in Wrigleyville, with mostly 20somethings, almost everyone cheered when Man City scored. At the second bar, which was definitely an older crowd, absolutely NOBODY wanted Man City to win. Go figure. 🍀

With all the European club stuff done for the season, we're now onto national team stuff to watch for the next couple months. CONCACAF Nations League semis (Canada/Panama and USA/Mexico) start Thursday night in Vegas. It appears that that entire tournament will air on Paramount+. The Gold Cup qualifiers start later this week with the group stage starting in a couple weeks. Then there's the Women's World Cup starting next month with at least the first two U.S. matches airing in primetime.

Turner, I'll grant you though I don't think he plays much. Balogun, while I get that he's technically an Arsenal youth player, made his name with his spectacular play in Ligue 1.

actually, i'd say Balo has played more in an Arsenal kit having been trained by and played for the youth teams for many years.

i kind of think that ramsdale was such a risk that turner was acquired as a sort of insurance policy. turner is pretty great; hope we can hold on to him and make good use of him.

Things are getting really chippy between Mexico and the U.S. these last few minutes. Looks like someone just got shown a red card but not sure as to who yet.

EDIT: Looks like Montes for Mexico and McKennie both got reds. The McKennie red means he wouldn't be able to play in the final on Sunday.
