As fun as a uniform thread is, how about each of us explains or defines commonly used phrases here and their origins. Just ONE per person. For example the Beach house reference, the word German etc.

Then state how long you’ve been on Loyalty.
Go!

Been a member for a very long time, under a different username previously.

Here's a classic: Air Guitar guy. Still remember this game and this exact scene.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to explain the scene as requested by the OP. This was from the December 8, 2012 game vs. Gonzaga. Illinois was ranked #13 and Gonzaga was #10. Game was being played in Washington. Illinois was leading the game at this point (8ish minutes left? I don't remember exactly), and Gonzaga made a three to close the gap to 4 points... then the above happened. It's been an Illinois favorite ever since.

Illinois won by 11.

Full game can be watched here: Illinois @ Gonzaga 12-8-12. Air guitar can be seen immediately after the play beginning at the 1:20:19 mark.

If I remember correctly, wasn't this the same game that BP walked off the court looking at Gonzaga fans saying 'call me'

"I Don't Know Who That Is" about a player that I still Don't Know Who That Is.

Forgive me for mentioning his name but...Eric Gordon. Commited to UI and then betrayed. Another near miss by groce.

Loyalty After Dark probably deserves a comment or two.

I'm not much of a participant, so I won't attempt to bastardize it. (But I will speculate the true origin probably dates back to the 1960's and UofI alumnus Hugh Hefner --- and his hit show Playboy After Dark.) Experts, please take it from here........

Loyalty member since 2011, but I've had a hiatus or two when I couldn't remember my UserName/Password.
