Do any have free live streams that you know of? If a school has a Hudl camera they have the ability to live stream games on YouTube.
Sure some do. I looked at the State Farm Classic in Normal and they charge for every game. You can pay one fee for the entire tournament.

Not tournament related but was catching up on how my alma mater, Leo High School, is doing and found an interesting player on their team. Jarrod Gee, Jr. Appears to be ranked 78 junior. Be fun to see him blow up and follow his dad

My son’s team had to pull out of Pekin after an outbreak he has managed to avoid (so far)

There was a 2nd team that pulled out of Pekin so they ended up switching consolation bracket to pool play.

Peoria Quest had to pull out of Williamsville Holiday Tournament due to covid and Williamsville's JV team ended up replacing them and actually beat the team that Quest was supposed to face (Dee-Mack).

Not for a holiday tournament but WBBA in Pittsfield usually does a live stream of the Winchester Invitational Tournament every January through their YouTube Page (https://www.youtube.com/c/CentralIllinoisSports). Right now they're streaming games in the Macomb/Western Holiday Tournament.

Eldorado tourney used to be the big draw in southern illinois. Too much eldorado home cooking chased off better programs like Cairo, Pinkneyville , Benton etc. Still some good teams played there lately. The 2013 Harrisburg State Champion . 2015 ?Owensboro KY state Champion to name a couple. But the atmosphere of small town basketball and a homecoming feel is what sets Eldorado apart. I've yet to attend another tourney that gets as raucous as this one.
I agree with what you say in general concerning the home cooking at Eldorado. However, in the days that the tourney attracted the stellar Class A programs, it was the only 16 team Class A tournament in Southern Illinois at Christmas. I am talking about the mid 70's to some time during the 80's. Your other choices were Centralia and Carbondale. Mounds Meridian, for example, was in the Carbondale Tournament for a time. As a matter of fact, Mounds Meridian defeated the Quinn Buckner led Thornridge quintet at Carbondale. This was Thornridge's last loss during that state championship season, and they went undefeated the next year in route to another state championship. Eventually, Mounds Meridian migrated to Eldorado. Eldorado was the blueprint for small school tournaments that exist today.

Yikes.....I wonder if Deemack will come back after that. Playing that game is a no win situation for them...but I guess you play whoever is on the floor.

They did come back and defeated Roanoke-Benson today. They're set to play Springfield Calvary in the Consolation semifinals tomorrow.

The Williamsville JV team ended up taking the 1 seed Prairie Central to OT today and lost by 2.

I highly recommend getting out to see Yorkville Christian if you can. They aren't playing a small school only schedule as they already played St Rita and Glenbard West. They are really entertaining to watch and Schutt looks effortless in pretty much everything he does. It's not a 1 man show though as they had 5 different players dunk in the game I saw last night

I hear Glenbard West is pretty good. Here's a stream of their quarterfinal game v Leo:

I’m not retracting my earlier comment on Yorkville Christian, but they got punched in the mouth and didn’t respond well tonight against a tough Burlington Central team.

Peoria Notre Dame survived an ugly game against Northridge Prep to advance to the Championship against Burlington Central.

Geoff Alexander was there and couldn’t have been a nicer dude.

In Plano, Burlington Central over PND in OT with a (from my view slightly late) rebound put back at the buzzer. Really good game though in front of a pretty good sized (and loud )crowd. I've got to think that games like that prepare kids to play at the next level more than playing in mostly empty gyms in front of just a handful of college coaches and a few dudes shooting video for the Prep YouTube channels....but I guess those in favor of that environment will say that playing against more talented kids across the board will prepare you as much.

New to the board here and have enjoyed reading over it.

Is there a website with in-depth historical information on the IHSA basketball tournament? (One more complete than the IHSA site?) Thanks for any help.

I found this one. Is xtmi2000 still out there?
