Just wanted to point out for those that hadn't seen it on the link Dan posted that the Illinois region games will be played at Carver Arena inside the Peoria Civic Center with tickets going on sale April 21. The House of 'Paign and Always a Brave (Bradley alumni) teams are the only ones that have been announced to this point.

Do they have an age limit? McCamey is 32 now. I’d think they want guys younger
No, but if they had one it would certainly be a case of age discrimination.

If he were willing, I'd have no problem asking Michael Jordan, who is 58 years old, to be on our team... (his son did play for the Illini)

Kendall Gill is a guy who probably wouldn't embarrass himself in a limited role if we're talking about guys with banners hanging in SFC. Dee or Deron would be fun to see too.

And maybe Meyers Leonard is available now too.

He probably wouldn't risk getting injured for a small chance at making 1/75th of what he usually makes per year

That was my first reaction too. My second reaction isn't so sure about that. Meyers got sidelined for something he said. How long will it be before teams think the issue has quieted enough take the potential PR hit to hire a bench player? Is the value of playing to keep in practice more than the risk? I'm sure he would need insurance. I don't know how much it costs to cover the practices/games.

I see the point but he probably has enough money to hire top notch trainers that will keep him in better basketball/physical shape than playing in TBT without making too much of a dent in his earnings. Only thing he might be missing is the competition but I'd be surprised if he came back for that. I'd love to be wrong

Joe Johnson tore it up and he's like 7 years older than McCamey.

Joe Johnson was also a former 7 time NBA All-Star and played his last NBA season in 2018. That isn't to say McCamey can't still play at 32 because he definitely still can but thats a pretty huge difference in talent level.

This would be a solid core:
PG Feliz
SG BP3
SF Hill
PF Daum
C Egwu

Coach: LaTulip

There is enough scoring on the team to use Egwu as a pure defensive center.

Some of the players from last year did not seem contribute much.
- Liss
- Finke (Soft play all around, especially on defense.)
- Black (Way out of shape.)

For those who mentioned Tyler U: If the team includes Tyler as a player, they might as well save themselves the entry fee.

From the Twitter site, it looks like Mike is considering announcing one person a day in an effort to generate hype. I hope this is not the case. I suspect it will result in a less overall interest and discussion. Make your one big announcement and be done. Anything smaller for HoP is in the WGAF category IMO. Know your audience and limits.
