Thanks ssanti....good read. great to hear great things about LB and MF. I believe their progression and execution will determine our success next year.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: With this system I see a ton of former WVU big Devin Williams in Leron and I think he'll take on a similar role that Williams had during his college years.

This what you want to hear, Finke in the new system, " WOW, he's very, very good." Sounds like the foot is ready to go. Good for MF, I always looking to give best effort.:chief:

If he can become a more prolific scorer down low, I could see him averaging 12+ a game easy. Lots of posters on here mention how they think Finke could stand to benefit most from BU and it looks like BU agrees. Great things to hear.

Thanks for the post, ssanti.

I love the focus on the basics. In college bball, so much of the game is about imposing your will on the other team. If you push them out of their game and into yours, you will have success.

The Wisconsin games should be very interesting.

Really would like to see LB, KN and MF attacking the O Boards for an extra 8 points per game. Our chuck and run days of the past are hopefully gone.

We're about to witness what it's like having a system and utilizing players strengths, instead of just letting players have too much freedom on the court.

Yes siree ...;) It will be nice to be at the mid court line at 2 seconds as opposed to 9.9.

Ask TJL if he plans on doing it first time he gets a chance.;):p

Heck, a bowling ball would roll down an alley faster than what our guards were required to do last year with letting the ball roll close to the mid-court line.

And yeah, I would surmise this year will be the opposite of roll-the-ball down the court by TJL - we may very see a lot of football-like tosses by him and our other guards just to get the ball to our end of the court faster so we can make BU's 7-second rule to beat the defense back. :)

As long as the Illini win games, the winning will take care of everything. Only thing that will be a downside is experience. Lots of new players, but veterans will help the new faces out. Team has to find and have an identity. They will get there. Won't be immediate at the start, yet give it time.

My question is this-where on EARTH did he get that jacket from? Can we chip in and get him something less plaid?
