Theres always a dichotomy between expecting improvement by a player and grabbing a recruit whos possibly better. Some people side with the former, others the latter.
Last years team under performed, but not to the point we would've been sniffing an NCAAT bid if everything went our way. But I still think a 5th year Finke is better than Giorgi (at least next year), and I have doubts Kane will be much better than Ebo. The question becomes, does adding Ayo, Jones, and Feliz offset and/or add more than Black and Tejon? I'd almost say thats a wash, so in the end of the day, purely speaking about next year, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended with the same record, or even won 5 more games. Freshman are almost always wildcards, impossible to predict.
I believe Kane will be better defensively than Finke (assuming he is the starter) and Kipper will be as good defensively as Black and almost as good offensively. AJ will be better than Alstork, TJ improved over last year, and Ayo a huge improvement over Smith. If any of the others, i.e. Jones, Griffin, Feliz, Giorgio, surpass my assumed starters it will be even more an improvement. Offense will not be the problem IMO and the additional experience with BU's system should help the defense. If I believed they wouldn't be improved I would stop watching to avoid the pain.
