Really believe BIG winner is one of four teams but includes Michigan not MSU. Also think home court advantage is considerably reduced with no fans. None of the four teams have played each other and Iowa, Michigan and Ill. each have four games with the top four with each playing Wi twice and the others once. That means Wi has two more games against the top tier and a scheduling disadvantage. Michigan has the lead with no defeats by any lower tier teams. My prediction (worth two Nebraska beach houses) is the winner will have only 4 losses. Therefore need to split wins against top four and only one additional loss to lower tier teams. Could still be a tie at the top and is even likely in my view but don’t believe Wi will be one due to their schedule. Wouldn’t be unhappy with a three way tie and all top two seeds in tournament.

Agreed. There are currently 4 teams with 0 or 1 conference loss (Illini, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin). After that, everyone else has at least 3 losses. I think that's a lot of ground to make up for any team outside that top 4, given the difficulty of the conference. MSU already has 4 losses which to me means they're all but out of contention already.

I’m not saying MSU has a chance, but 4 losses could still win this thing. Looong way to go.

Interesting...that’s one way to adjust for COVID postponements.

Simply move around games that ARE still a go. Gives more flexibility when the teams that had COVID outbreaks start playing again.

Right, I even think 15-5 could win this thing. But I think the odds MSU goes 13-1 the rest of the way are extremely low, which is why I said "all but out of contention"

Bardo said before the conference season started that he thinks 6 losses will win it. That’s where us having a fairly easy schedule would have been good. But that’s where us losing a very winnable game vs Maryland is bad.

Any guesses as to what Brad's big surprise is that he mentioned in his latest conference call with the press?

I think its much ado about nothing. I think he was just having some fun with everyone and in a good mood! Gotta keep it light sometimes when not playing well to get the players, fans, and media back in a relaxed state of mind.

Brad is such a teaser.......

He asked me to teach him some dance moves, but needs to lose another 15lbs before he busts out in front of the lads....

If I cannot get tickets, I do not care where they play, I only care if they play.

Even though we dropped a bit to #22 in the AP poll, it's nice to see Duke and UNC missing from the top 25.

Fwiw, Barnhart said he heard from 3 different former players since OSU who said this season is on the players, not the coach.
