Exactly. Both need to prove they are players. But it’s much more fun to hit a little orange kool-aid now and then.

So is Hutch a lottery pick next season?

Who said that? Even if he has a massive season, his injury/injury history is going to preclude teams risking their top pick on him. That doesn't mean he doesn't have a chance at making a team. Definitely rooting for him. Seems like a good kid who's dealt with a lot of adversity.

FWLIW, I think he's headed for a VVG season and I can't wait to see it.

Based on a small sample size, Hawkins looks like a tweener (3 Or 4). Maybe he’s added the strength necessary to be the 4? Not all players are on the same time table where improvement is concerned. I think he’s very gifted athletically and has a big upside. I’m anxious to see how much he’s improved over the last few months.
I think we all agree that we hope CH plays well this year and where he is most effective. Let's see where that ends up being.

CoHawk is a 4. He has THE POTENTIAL to be a 3. That was all my initial hype was suggesting.

But if it had been suggested our DIII transfer would be a lottery pick next season most everyone would be onboard with that take.

No.

But also. Even if CH has the potential to play the 3, I don’t see it making sense to put Payne on the court at the 4 over any combination of 3 guards. Personnel wise on this team it just doesn’t make sense. Doesn’t mean he can’t play LIKE a 3 while at the 4, should he be that improved. It would be pretty awesome if he’s got those skills as playing him at 4 might even give you better matchups than trying to position him to his skillset.

Imagine having 1-4 all able to dribble and create, with a normal sizing across each to (not a 4 guard lineup). That sounds better to me than forcing a big man lineup when I don’t think Payne is in our top 6

We are pretty solid and proven at every position going into next year. Think Hutch is our X factor. If he can give us solid play at the combo guard or wing that would solve a lot of issues of having length at that position. Damonte and Grandison may also give us an option at the wing but their dribbling will have to be solud as well.

I must be missing something. For some reason Mr. Williams was one of the best three point shooters in the nation last year, and you all forgot that?

I haven’t seen anyone take DW for granted. He is a tremendous asset to have this upcoming season. He will be very beneficial coming in with the 2nd unit alongside Plummer. At least that’s how i envision it shaking out.

Damonte had one of the best three point percentages he was in no way one of the best shooters in the country and I dont even understand why people put him in that position
