On the last thread, we had a comment about how are we going to guard the 5 against PU. I know we are always posting on the negative. The better question is how are PU going to guard all of our shooters? We rotate players on Ivey and roll help to guard the 5 when Kofi is out. For god sake, Rutgers beat them and we mopped the floor with Rutgers. I know, playing the ABC game here is never accurate but I do not think PU is as good at the media promotes them to be. I think OSU is a better team. I know we are better and deeper. I am not scared of any of our opponents the rest of the year. One game at a time and just win.

I was working on a post in the previous recruiting thread and needed to do some "research."

There were a couple posts comparing current guards and three point shooting to past teams and future prospects.

A reference to the 1989 Flying Illini had Anderson, Gill, and Bardo as the guards. The guard rotation was actually Bardo, Gill, Larry Smith, and sometimes P. J. Bowman. Smith averaged 20+ mpg mostly off the bench and led the team in assists. Bowman saw a lot of action while Gill was out.

Another seemed to have Gill, Anderson, and Battle as three point shooters. Battle made over 50%, but attempted only 17 in 36 games.

Bardo had a slow, ugly release, but was an accurate 29/59. Anderson attempted 66 and made 24. Gill made 38 out of 83 despite missing games.

Edey and Williams had 34 of the 68 pts from the center position in 40 minutes. Ivey had decent stats and the rest of the team took the night off.

Hard to compare this era as 3 pointers were not part of the game ad they are now. These players migrated to the 3 point shot...the current players don't know otherwise from the time they started organize ball.

JCL with 20 off the bench for Kansas tonight. 25 years old and still playing college ball. If I was a freshman or sophomore losing time to a 7th year college player at KU, I wouldn't be happy.

Back to the nursing home Jalen, we will pick you up for the next game.

What is the official return policy if you bought tickets but can't attend because of a positive covid test

No clue, but thank you for not being a jerk and just going anyway

I haven't gotten results back yet but just wanted to be prepared. I'll be pretty dissappiointed if I can't go because I got the tickets immediately after they announced the banner raising ceremony for Ayo. Might just try to sell them to make sure the seats are filled.
