This is interesting. We are shooting 30%+ more 3's per game this year than last year. 25.3 (22) vs 18.3(21). That's good, because staff said they want to spread the floor more to open up looks for Kofi and it's working because he's getting 30% more shots this year.
I think this shows that BU and the staff are paying attention to analytics. If we're taking more 3s and Kofi is getting more shots, what is cut out? Most likely long 2s, which are low efficiency and disfavored by analytics.

We're in good hands.

The Big10 is not a superb conference this year. We've developed quickly into these tiers:

BIG10 Title contenders:
PUR (we can greatly damage their chances with a "W" on Monday)
ILL
MSU
WIS
OSU

Other NCAA Tourney teams:
IND
IOWA

Not-so-Good NCAA Bubble teams:
RUT
MICH
PSU

Bad Teams:
MD
MIN
NW
NEB

If I were to guess, I'm thinking Rutgers or Michigan gets hot and becomes the 8th conference bid to the big dance in March.

I don't know if it mean anything, but Curbelo wasn't wearing the crazy glasses for Michigan's game. We obviously need another PG and offensive spark when we go in to a drought. We seem to score when we get someone to penetrate and pass.. The ceiling is high for our Illini if we get that piece back.
I did notice that. Underwood claims he's getting close and is a non-full participant in practice now. Fingers crossed.

I don't know if people know this, but a lot of people who wear contacts also wear glasses. And especially when you are not playing your designated sport, you opt for the glasses on the bench. And sometimes you switch them around.

Side note - he has the most normal looking glasses. Nothing crazy about them in my opinion.

+1000%. I think this team, as is, will be lucky to make the Sweet 16. We just get bogged down when our outside shots aren't falling because we have no one that can penetrate and create. Not to mention, Trent is the only high-level ball handler on the court.

Get Curbelo back and in top form by the tournament and a Final Four is realistically possible.

Not knocking his glasses. It may mean the concussion may be getting better, and he may not need "post-concussion glasses"

Love to see Podz putting in the work!! This is absolutely necessary for any shooter to become able to contribute when needed....and all will be needed. There are literally thousands of potential and willing shooters in the game and hundreds will work like this. But there are so many critical demands on their time. A tip of my cap for those who fill some of that time with work like this...and to the guys who assist them. Those rebounders are huge.

I think Hutch would have provided a lot of what the team is lacking, offensively.

Agh, I see your point. To be honest with you, I don't think the glasses have anything to do with what he is going through. I believe he's always had them and wears contacts in game. But now he's on the bench, wears his glasses. Pretty common occurrence ive seen from other teams.
