The basketball managers told me they believe he is better than Trevion Williams. They said he’s been Fletched, his foot is all healed, and that he is definitely the real deal

I think the shot is still a big question mark. Shot a tad under 30% in his last AAU season to go along with about 50% from the line, both of which are not encouraging for the shooting projection. Furthermore, not sure if the handles have a diminishing return against better competition. He’s only played 9 minutes in two years so I think it’s safe to say his game is still a question mark regarding how it will translate to college basketball. Not saying he won’t be good but we really won’t know until the beginning of next season.Offensively, Dain is mobile, good shooter, has handles and can dish. He is nimble of foot. Defensively, they will lose size and space and some rebounding. 6"10" and 260lbs is not small. If he stays in shape and plays defense he will have a better career than many other bigger centers because he can face up and pop the 20 foot jumper consistently, back you down or he can go around you for a floater or a dunk. He has most all of the offensive tools that you want in a big man. Future looks bright for Big Dain.
Williams is a good comp....but lets not get ahead of ourselves.....don't think he is as good as Williams is yet. But he has lived with Fletch since getting on campus. The basketball managers told me they believe he is better than Trevion Williams. GEEZ, no one said they were worried, I just made a comment on the seeding of that bracket that is ONE YEAR FROM HAPPENING ANYWAYS. Go find something else to get riled up about. Seems like an awful lot of people on this forum lately that are just looking for something to complain about or start an argument. Must be a crappy way to live. Why do we need to worry about Lunardi? Was he in the selection committee?
That's great news!Williams is a good comp....but lets not get ahead of ourselves.....don't think he is as good as Williams is yet. But he has lived with Fletch since getting on campus.

I think I'll just go back to viewing instead of posting.
It's a huge question mark given how little he's played.I think the shot is still a big question mark. I've got to believe that Dain as a freshman will be a lot better than Williams as a freshman. Williams only played 10 MPG and 5.2 PPG as a freshman. I'll be disappointed if Dain doesn't better that this year.Williams is a good comp....but lets not get ahead of ourselves.....don't think he is as good as Williams is yet. But he has lived with Fletch since getting on campus.
I know he was coming in off a foot issue so I’m sure they’re monitoring his weight closely. Do you know what he came in at, where he is now, and what their end goal is for him?Williams is a good comp....but lets not get ahead of ourselves.....don't think he is as good as Williams is yet. But he has lived with Fletch since getting on campus.

BEEP BEEP!Illinois offense next year will be like
Well, with Kofi gone, we can get back to playing 5 v 5
Yeah. I would guess coaches felt we were easier to game plan against? The blue print was fairly obvious, it just didn’t always work. Pull him away from basket, double team him in the paint.Well, with Kofi gone, we can get back to playing 5 v 5
I'm perfectly okay with a slight step back in the wins column in the short term if it means we can finally play this way. I'm curious to who steps up in leadership out of the current players. My guess is Goode at this point.Time to join the modern era again. Small ball. Fast and long. Let’s do it
lol who are these coaches.
Athletic teams like Houston....lol who are these coaches.
