Wow. He is is so skilled, very fluid, and moves *so* well despite being very visibly overweight. NBA ceiling is not an exaggeration if he gets his body right.
I also think Illinois State might be a good landing place. Their whole roster has been depleted by the portal. They recently fired their coach. Might be worth a visit and a look.
Vanderbilt George Mason would be a couple others with good programs that actually care about basketball at least a little.
For people asking if he can play the 4 he definitely shows some stretch 4 skills there. Would just be about who he can guard.
I can't see BBV being a member of a school's Basketball team and a 1L law student. Like, I don't even think that'd be possible with the time commitments of each. The law school would have to completely customize his 1L schedule, which just isn't possible with how things work at American law schools. Are there past cases of D1 basketball players that were enrolled in law school?

Snyder went to law school later. His bio shows he played and graduated from Duke up through '89. He graduated with a JD-MBA from Duke in '95. I think that takes 4 years instead of the typical 3 for just a JD, so that would mean he likely first enrolled in the '91-'92 academic year. Similar story with Bilas, he graduated and completed his playing days with Duke in '86, spent a few years playing professionally and then went back to Duke for law school and graduated in '92. My law school class at Northwestern I think had a handful of former ex-college athletes (including a guy who went on to play multiple seasons in the NFL) but nobody who was a grad transfer currently on any Northwestern sport teams. 1L is a very rigid schedule as you are divided into Sections with set class times for the key introductory 1L courses. There would be massive hoops to jump through to make a Basketball player's schedule, and not to mention that would almost certainly negatively impact his 1L performance. They highly discourage even a part-time 20 hour job for full time 1L students, let alone a D1 basketball schedule which is far MORE than a full time job. And while obviously many law schools offer part-time programs for students that do work a full time job, this would be even worse for BBV because the courses are offered in the evening, a time when basketball players will have games (many of which require them to be away).
This is probably going to sound insane but I think if his grades were good enough (big if) Harvard could be a good place to actually do this. Harvard Law is notorious for grade inflation and not flunking people. The theory is that if you're good enough to get in, you deserve to stay. That's actually pretty common amongst top law schools. Rule of thumb - the higher ranked a law school is, the less aggressively they are in weeding people out. So I could see Harvard as the kind of place that would cut some slack on both the academic and athletic ends to make it work. Of course, no athletic scholarships is another big barrier.

If I were him, id only be trying to talk to Stanford, UVA, Cal, Northwestern, and Georgetown. He still has 3 years left and to get those law schools paid for would be phenomenal.
