Tons of potential. Preparing for a big junior leap?
I don't think it's ever been about ability with him. It seems more about developing a killer instinct and ability to focus during a game.Tons of potential. Preparing for a big junior leap?
I can attest to that! I was playing and went up for a second dunk on a guy, and he hated that a short white kid dunked on him once, so I got a shoulder in the lower back. Well, I was in the air and grabbed the rim to keep from falling on my head.Man, let’s hope. Anyone that has had back issues on this forum knows that a back ‘injury’ is not like many other injuries.
Maybe throw in: a little better consistent decision making(mainly on “O”), being under control with the dribble, and a littleI don't think it's ever been about ability with him. It seems more about developing a killer instinct and ability to focus during a game.
But what do I know...?
I think that sort of all falls under the killer instinct banner. I think he's just tentative.Maybe throw in: a little better consistent decision making(mainly on “O”), being under control with the dribble, and a little
better command of his jumper…and I’m with ya a ga-zillion %.
Who knows, but he's definitely standing at least 3 feet closer to the camera.Wonder if Shannon is standing on something:

I think so also. In every pic/video I've seen he looks shorter than 6'3. Obviously this is not a scientific method, but a lot of players' heights are aspirational.I think Skyy is more realistically 6'2 and Shannon is a legit 6'6
Agreed. All about decision making and focus with Coleman. I think he's got "killer instinct," but he needs to play more under control and be deliberate in his decision-making (as you said, especially on offense). I've always thought it would benefit him to study RJ's moves. When you watch RJ on offense, everything he does has a purpose. There's no "hey I don't know what I want to do, so I'll just start dribbling and hope I think of something."Maybe throw in: a little better consistent decision making(mainly on “O”), being under control with the dribble, and a little

Payne leave a full-size cut out of himself so this can be fully vetted?Wonder if Shannon is standing on something:

Towards the end of the year he seemed pretty clutch. Especially grabbing key rebounds and making the right pass late in tight games. I even remember a big shot or two.I don't think it's ever been about ability with him. It seems more about developing a killer instinct and ability to focus during a game.

For some reason as I was reading this, a name popped into my head- Trent flipping Frazier.Skyy will have more of an impact as any incoming PG freshman than anyone since......Bruce, Kiwane, Demetri, Dee, Deron, etc
It still makes me sad that Trent had to go out with a severe case of pinkeye preventing him from playing his best the past few games. If he was 100%, the end to our season would have been much different. For some reason as I was reading this, a name popped into my head- Trent flipping Frazier.
I'm so excited to see Skyy but, man, Trent's impact on this program was absolutely huge and hopefully will never be forgotten. He and DMW were the glue that tied things together, bought in 110%, and led by example and now look where we are
