I thought basketball was supposed to be played with 5 guys on the court?as we spread the floor with 3 or 4 guys 6-9 or better on the court, i see an interesting high low game
in the half court.
5 max but is there a minimum ? Or can we have a team of mini Ditkas all playing the 2?I thought basketball was supposed to be played with 5 guys on the court?
Is it my imagination, or has the team practiced more at the Assembly Hall (yes, I know it is now the State Farm Center) than in years past?
Not exactly sure of the truth but isn't Ubben being remodeled presently? I would think the more practice the new guys would get at SFC would be smartIs it my imagination, or has the team practiced more at the Assembly Hall (yes, I know it is now the State Farm Center) than in years past?
Two things. Ubben and Huff are both under construction which limits practice options. Also, before DIA owned the Assembly Hall they had to pay rent to practice there which limited their interest. Is it my imagination, or has the team practiced more at the Assembly Hall (yes, I know it is now the State Farm Center) than in years past?
When did the DIA purchase AH or State Farm Center? Was talking to a guy the other day....he was telling me that the University had always owned it....I didn't think he was right but wasn't sure since it's now owned by DIATwo things. The University has always owned it. However it operated somewhat independently for a period of time. I knew a guy who worked there and he wasn't considered a university employee initially. Eventually transitioned to that status. I'm not exactly sure the reasoning behind it. It was funded by student fee backed bonds so maybe it had it's own budget because of that? When did the DIA purchase AH or State Farm Center? Not doubting you at all about the University owning it from the get go....just never knew for sure.....seems odd that if the University owned it that the teams would have to pay rent to practice in it.....anyway...been to many Illini games, concerts, and IHSA state final games (matches) .......as a kid I would literally get goose bumps when the chief did his thing at half time....just a great venue...with a lot of great memories...thanks for the infoThe University has always owned it. actually , iirc, the "student body" owned it in some weird arrangement . back in the early 1960's, when built, the students were assessed a fee for a "few" semesters and paid for the down payment and then for years to service the debt. When did the DIA purchase AH or State Farm Center? "rip-off event"Getting too cute with that new font methinks.
"rip-off event"
I agree. The first rule of advertising is to convey/ communicate a basic message or idea as clearly as possible. I dig the retro 70s-vibe…and style points are great but not at the expense of rule number one.Getting too cute with that new font methinks.
The amount of stuff I have stolen from him is ridiculous. He is one of the best instagram follows ever.one of the best:
Fifty bucks per person? The math checks out."rip-off event"
I think cohawk could take a lesson from Murray about not getting rushed and sped up.Hawkins with a quite well spoken take on Keegan Murray:
Hawkins is an intelligent young man. Really hope he seizes the day, because it's all there for him.
Given the nature of the assessment Hawkins gave of Murray, I wouldn't be surprised if the staff are already trying to give him a lesson based on Murray.I think cohawk could take a lesson from Murray about not getting rushed and sped up.
He began doing that in late Feb/early March. A clear, discontinuous increase in his game occurred. Hope it continues this fall.Coleman has freakish good athleticism and uses it well on defense.
He needs to develop a go to inside scoring move when he drives to the hoop then slow down and let the game come to him.
