Last year the foundation of our offense was Kofi in the lane 17 ppg and 30% Plummer from three 15 ppg. Now both are gone.

When we need scoring I suspect we will look to TSJ, Mayer and Skyy. JMO: We need two of them to avg at least 15 ppg to get some consistency in our offense.

Lowell - one of the best athletes to play in assembly hall. Key member of flying Illini.
We’re far more likely to see no 15 PPG scorers than 2. Going to be a veryyy balanced attack this year. I think TSJ/RJ will lead the way at ~13 PPG

Torvik's projected analytics say.
TSJ -15.3
Mayer-14.8
Hawk-9.6
Skyy-9.0
RJ-8.2
Ty-7.8
Goode-4.4
He also projects Illinois finishing 2nd in BIG after IU. Predicted BIG record is 14-6. I'll take that!! Nationally, he has us at a generous #13.

I'd settle for 6 players in double digits in PPG and the same 6 doing 4 + RPG.........

One way or another it;s going to be fun to see a different style of play and maybe more fouls called on our opponents with many Illini attacking the rim......
The last 3 years of Kofi-ball meant no fouls called until blood or broken bones protruding out of the skin....Now we have numerous players with penetration skills and remember NO lil Bo pee pee covering the sidelines and as a result of him not reffing anymore we should see shorter games tomes without the 10 + reviews from tv Bo......................

The success of the FB team has tempered my lust for the BU locomotive , but I see the steam rising and CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I haven't had enough gummies to comprehend this comment, but is this a reference to Bo Boroski and not reffing anymore? Did I miss this news somewhere?

We have multiple men who can go off on any night. Have any of you watched Matthew, Shannon? They are snipers. Rj is gonna be juking, above rim, floaters, and deep range. We have a ton of weapons. Gonna be a fun exciting year!

I would say we have a handful of kids who can get their own shot. While last year we really had 1 (RJ) who could get a shot off without s pass and his pt was limited.

Epps and Harris are both talented, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see them both struggle to get minutes once we get into the heart of the schedule, except when we are in bad foul trouble. I think TSJ will slide to the 1 to make room for Rodgers or Dain to get more minutes. This lineup is versatile enough to keep guys fresh even though it only goes 7 deep.

Skyy 30/ TSJ 10
RJ 30/ TSJ 10
TSJ 10/ Mayer 10/ Rodgers 20
Mayer 20/ Hawkins 15/ Rodgers 5
Hawkins 15/ Dain 25

Maybe I'm expecting too much from Rodgers, but I think his versatility, toughness, and defense gets him on the court more than the other freshmen.
You think that Rodgers will play 25 minutes a game and Sincere 0????? You must be smoking something!!!

That is not even 70 points a game. Goode will do better than 4, RJ will do better than 8. We will average well over 70 a game just because of the style and we will have more possessions. IU will not win the conference.

I'll take 14 wins as well. Because I don't think IU gets to 15.

Regarding the ppg projections- I haven't seen this opinion shared yet so I'll go ahead and say it (no matter how unpopular it will be), I think having RJ in the 8-10 ppg range is pretty accurate. He was extremely efficient with his opportunities last year and I don't expect that he'll maintain that level of efficiency once he gets put nearer the top of the scouting report. Love RJ and think he's a legit pro prospect but my expectations for him this year are closer to Jacob Grandison (solid everyday guy. Occasionally our best player) vs a K. Murray or J. Davis type.

I'm also skeptical that we'll have two dudes get 15ppg. I think we'll be much more equal opportunity than that.
