First, I agree that there should be better spacing this year with Kofi gone. Second, I’m expecting RJ to take a big step forward if for no other reason than his minutes per game could well triple this year. (Please note, the increased minutes are not the only reason I’m bullish on RJ.) But I have to laugh a bit when I see stats like this cited. I’m not gonna get all “goose bumpy” over a stat based on 15 shots just as I’m not gonna get all down based on his 1 of 4 from three performance in the exhibition.

Anyone else concerned with how out of shape Mayer appears to be?

We were probably pencilling him in for ~30 mpg at the 4/5 spots, and that was before Goode got hurt. I like Dain’s potential but I don’t see him as ready for a steady rotation spot until the game slows down for him a bit which will hopefully happen later in the season. Means we are probably going to have to lean pretty heavy on Rogers, which I do think he can handle, but he’s a freshman and will probably have games where he’s in foul trouble.

All of a sudden we don’t look as deep as I thought, particularly at the 4.

Since the time it came out that he was hurt this summer — back I believe — I’ve had a sneaking suspicion he’s gonna miss some time during the year. Hope I’m wrong.

Hasn't he been sick? Agree he looked out of shape but figured it was due to recent illness.

Looks like SEC Network for Braggin' Rights

Gross. There is no way a rivalry with this kind of history between teams from the Power 2 should be relegated to a regional network.

From 2003 (as far back as I could track it) to 2015 we played on ESPN2 every year, except once we played on ESPN. Since then, we have played once on ESPN2, and twice on each of ESPNU, BTN, and SECN. This is one of the top annual non-conference rivalries in the country. Why has this turned into a TV _______ match between the B1G and SEC? Ridiculous.
