This strikes me as one of those announcements you make to mess with the other team's scouting. I have a hard time imagining he's game ready a day or two after being cleared. Still glad to see it!
Well he got cleared way before a day or 2 ago.
Truth, and most of the insight is some variation on scoring more points or holding the opponents to less.

All True enough. But one could also point out that no team from China has yet ever won the NCAA or NBA Titles. But I’m sure They’re working on that.
He provides exactly what this team is lacking: 3 pt. Making, depth, leadership. I firmly believe a lineup of Shannon/Luke/Matt/Coleman/DD is a Sweet 16+ level starting 5.

Keeping quiet about just how much Goode could do in practice until today strikes me as the better way to mess with the other team's scouting.
He probably can't play long stretches due to conditioning, but I'd think he could come in and hit a 3.

Epps has to start over Luke...adept ball handler, driver, shooter, good D.
Luke a key to the second wave, as he is redundant with Shannon, Coleman, Matt as to style of play on the starters.
Great second team only lacks a big man... dyn-o-mite pressure and hustle!!

Maybe i shouldn't have added “starting” 5…but down the stretch in big games..best believe it.
If its near the end of the game and we are ahead....then I want Epps handling the ball and shooting free throws over DD or maybe even CH
No kidding. Epps is absolutely one of our five best players. I like Goode, but you guys have awful big expectations for a guy that averaged less than 2 ppg last year and hasn't played competitively in almost a year. And at the end of a game, when you need handles and FF shooting, I definitely want Epps on the floor.

Except Luke is far from being ready to add much to this team at the moment. Iowa was hoping he would play. That may change in a couple or three weeks though. He needs to get in condition to play as well as get in some work on defense and shooting. I am hoping he is able to make a positive contribution in a couple of weeks, maybe sooner, but to think he will be a savior is a stretch....but stranger things have happened. He has shown some mental and physical toughness which this team needs....but he is not M Jordan.....yet we need him to be a good Luke Goode and that will be Goode enough.
