I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for once again going on the ride of glory & heartbreak during another unforgettable Illini Basketball season here at this humble site.
It's not always easy being an Illini fan, however following the journey of the '24 Illini MBB squad here with everyone was imho a lot of freakin' fun.

Sadly this great season had an unexpected ending. Sorry for the team that this game was such a disaster for them in the 2nd half. It shocked me to watch UConn go on a 30-0 run against this team and completely take over the game, something I could never have believed before tonight. So where to from here? Absolutely, to the PORTAL!!!
Not sure whether Gibbs-Lawhorn or Dainja will stick around, hope so, but Dainja really looked dialed-out in the last two games. Hope BU's staff finds players who want to be here and are like MD and CH. Then catch lightening in a bottle with someone like TSJ if that is even possible. So this wonderful year is over and it's time to look to the next.
Best of all to MD, CH, QG, JH, and for sure to TSJ for what he faces ahead in Kansas.

So excited to be able to see the BTT banner raised at SFC in the fall, and then celebrate the run to the Elite 8!
While disappointing ending, we should support the players (buy their merch), buy some Elite 8 swag, and toast to an amazing season.

If you are suggesting portaling this young man, if you don't appreciate the effort he gives every single game, if you haven't noticed how his energy and effort push other players...not sure what to say to you. Ty, Amani and Rez are going to be a force and teams hoping to rebound against will be fighting a Sysuphian battle. Guy has heart and bleeds orange and blue. Until he develops a shot, he will have to sit some, but he knows and embraces his roll and loves his team.
