I am old and saw Brody play against Michigan in the 60s. I do not remember any 2 hand set shots.
From the Daily Illini December 1962.

Brody , 6-2 , 165-pound dandy from Trenton , N . J ., is the only sophomore in this year s starting cage quintet . He is adept at all phases of the game and thus his current starting status is no surprise . He feels all phases of the game are equally important . As he says , in order for us to be a winning club everyone must play both offensively and defensively as one solid unit . Brody has a deadly two-handed jump shot on offense.

I guess it was a jump shot but it was two handed. Time dulls the memory. :)

2-3 inches in 3.5 months at 23 years old? I’m skeptical but why would Brad make that up?
The same reason Tinder dates put 6'1" in their profile when they're sitting at 5'10". It sounds better on paper.

Lying about height in sports, particularly basketball, is nothing new. D. Rose is a perfect example of that. I don't think Underwood sets out to intentionally mislead, and like another poster said, OP may be making a tongue-in-cheek comment about Ben's height. But let's not act like their isn't precedent to fudge some numbers about height, either.

I have a real good feel about big Z this year. Bigger, stronger and I think our system is a much better fit for him. Could be a breakout year!
The thing I feel is being undervalued are a couple of Big Zs strengths. His shot blocking and the fact he was Arkansas top 3pt shooter at 38%.
I expect our team 3pt shooting to be much better next season. I totally expect Kylan to shoot much better like he did down the stretch and at Zona. Ben is a good bet to improve as well as others in this system surrounded by these guys. I bet Ben, Kylan, Jake, Big Z and T all to shoot 35% or better from 3. Maybe Andrej can too surrounded by better players that can shoot much better than what he had at Cal. Have to wait and see on Mahailo. Regardless I expect the team shooting from 3 to improve drastically from last year.

I'm trying to picture a two-handed jump shot.

As I remember he had the ball up in the air over his head with two hands, but the shot was mostly pushed with his right hand when it left his hands. It was so many years ago that I could be wrong.

If there's a guy out there who's considering reclassifying and hoping to be a one-and-done, maybe he doesn't care too much about his sole college year's earnings. I mean, he'll ultimately be earning more than the zero dollars he'd earn in high school.

Right now as constructed we are primed for someone to come in and be Will Riley. If I'm the staff and I'm considering that route, I look at next year's top 30, offer them a spot today, and see what happens.

Yes, because someone will offer them good money if it is a possibility they can play in college at a decent level.
