Does anyone have an idea on what Kylan Boswell rehab entails? doe he still practice with the team to keep in game shape?? I realize he can't dribble with an injured hand but I would figure he still could practice on the defensive end... Or is all his rehab off-court until his cast is removed? Anyone with knowledge of this issue, please opine..

I thought someone said he was dribbling with his right (doubtless gingerly) and shooting with his left during warmups the other night. He was not wearing a cast in warmups and looked like he had some sort of a wrap during the game.

My son had a broken wrist ( Hockey)…. was able to go full tilt with conditioning, no contact but was able to run through reps.. could use one hand , work on foot work etc. About a week before being fully cleared he was able to work with both hands… shooting, passing, stick handling.
When he returned to game play he was a tad rusty for a game or two but jumped back in pretty fast.

I would assume the same could be the process with Bam! I would guess once he suits up for his return he will be well conditioned and ready to contribute. Much better than lower body injury where you are completely sidelined for a few weeks or more!

Who knows?
Like James "Cinderella Man" Braddock, Bam might come back with some new wicked lefty moves!
;)

Was chatting with my son about Wagler.

He said that the Illini getting Wagler from the state of Kansas was the basketball gods paying us back for the TJ prosecution.

Even better would be Wagler putting up 30 vs Kansas in the Final Four!

Some of us are born with 13th rib. Surgically removed, 6 month recovery. I hope this is the case for him. Developing Blood clots at this age with no genetic issues is problematic for life. Will be praying for him.

Didn’t a kid recently get back a redshirt year after playing 17 games in a season when he said the team’s doctor didn’t diagnose him properly and had he know extent of injury he wouldnt have played at all? And this deserves a redshirt year for those 17 games?

Puff Johnson. Ohio State presently.
Played 17 at Penn State last season before a wrist injury sidelined him for the year.
He was UNC before PSU.

Yeah, honestly, I am starting to feel like I owe Tyler Underwood an apology.

I did not like him being handed an opportunity no other coach with his credentials would have gotten and I don't especially like the 2020's NBA-style offense he has injected into the program aesthetically. But what matters is winning, and Tyler's ideas and implementation of them have been extremely effective, regardless of how many eggs had to break to make the omelette.

As always, 100% of the credit and 100% of the blame for everything that happens in the program rests with the head coach, and BU has had the courage of his convictions to see this through in a very successful way.
I own him an apology, too. Tyler's system is sound. Simple but effective enough. A lot depends on the recruits but it works well with Europeans and our prep recruiting clearly trends that way, too. It is bonus if we can find TSJ or Braden Smith types of players through portal.

Keaton 53%
Ben 40%
Mirk 39%
Tomi 36%
Jake 33%
Z 27%
Boz 26%
Andrej 21 %

Take-aways
Keaton is incredible so far......
MIrk has been pretty lights out too
Ben at 40% in quad 1-2 surprised me...last two games are doing some heavy lifting though (would be like 33% before this heater)
Tomi not great in conf overall but has had decent shooting against Q1-2
Jake drops off a bit in Q1-Q2, but not enough to not let them fly. Noticed he had multiple 0-0 games. Hope he looks for shots more
Ben started hitting contested threes is a good sign to me.

Why put the qualifier on Ben's numbers? So I guess take out Keaton's 9-11 against Purdue and then post the numbers right?

No matter what this kid does, it's never going to be enough for some.

I don't think so. The injury must occur in the first half of the season.
While that's the official rule, they've grown slightly more forgiving if you request a waiver as long as you don't exceed the 30% threshold. Justice Ajogbor got a waiver when he played the final six games of the season. Malik Thomas got a waiver for playing nine games spread throughout his first season, he didn't even suffer an injury.
