Haha well hopefully Kylan is already adept with the off hand at this stage of things and at 6-2 hopefully can palm a basketball

If he comes back and shoots 70% from three then I’ll go ahead and take credit for that though!
Agreed. He uses his left very well, so that should help.

Anyone have any idea when Kylan will be back?

I’m hoping we can get him 10ish minutes of run against IU in anticipation of the west coast trip. My guess is Kylan will have some rust and there will be a bit of clunkiness in reincorporating Kylan. Think both west coast games will be tough and would prefer to not go through that clunkiness then, but we will need a fully up to speed and incorporated Kylan for Michigan.
The general consensus was mid February

That would seem to be an easier recovery. Really hope we can get him back close to 100% and gradually ease him in. But don't want to take too many minutes from Keaton, Andrej, or Jake because they're all playing well.
Their minutes are going to be effected fairly significantly. They might ease Kylan into the mix, but eventually the expectation will be playing his normal 32-36 minutes. Those have to come from somewhere.

Kylan is going to want to go back to playing his normal role in the offense. So, you can look at if two ways. The positive perspective is that it'll give Keaton more time off the ball to be fresher throughout. The more negative perspective would be that the ball will be taken out of Keaton's hand and what has clearly been "his team" over the last two few weeks no longer will be. With those additional minutes from others will mean less shots.

Injuries mid season can be an interesting thing. Last year, when we lost Tomi for an extended period, we were a clearly worse team. That transition went extremely poorly and when he came back, things got back on track.

In this situation, the team took off and fell into an absolutely perfect rhythm. Guys found their roles absolutely flawlessly.

This is a better team with Boswell playing. Anybody saying he's not just aren't thinking. He provides depth, ball handling, elite defense, etc. It's also not like we were playing poorly with him in the game.

This is going to be a tricky one for Brad. He wants/needs to implement him, while not rocking the boat too much. Kylan wants to win, so I suspect he'll take on whatever role is necessary.

All that said, nobody knows when he'll be back, so it's moot until that time.

Can we resurrect the description "Dream Team"? Cannot wait for Kylan to get healthy and back up to steam. Outside looking in, I'm seeing a well oiled, disciplined, unselfish, smart and focussed group, that have one goal in mind. I have also enjoyed the the way coach Underwood has grown as well. The group was put on earth to bring us all joy, let's all enjoy it. Please take care of each other and stay healthy

Please don’t take this as me not wanting KB back, but the one thing that doesn’t get enough attention is how well JD has stepped up defensively, for this run. I was seriously concerned we couldn’t play at this level without KB’s defense.

Jake has been great for sure! I think the whole team has picked it up a notch. That is a greatd response knowing that one of your top players is not on the floor. It looks like this team rises up strongly only to be better once Boz returns.

In my opinion, this is a very unselfish team, willing to share time and appreciate everyone's contributions, the depth is why we're celebrating this team. Let's go win a championship!!!

I see our TSJ banner-hanger has been promoted to graphic design, and I presume thought that 'W' meant Washington...

Interesting graphic… goes against the thought that this team is highly volatile (they’re slightly on the less volatile side).

Also note how volatile Michigan has been

I mentioned earlier that, instead of 10 point kill shots, we seem to bludgeon opponents with a series of 5-7 point “coma shots.” We seemingly maintain a 6-9 point lead per game before generally pulling ahead by 11 or so. We aren’t explosive but instead more patient and methodical. We’re less Rambo and more Dexter.

I had to read that twice. I was wondering what "come shots" means in a hoops game.

I don't think they'll be effected that much, at least at first. I really doubt Kylan is 100% when he comes back. I'm guessing we start him with just a few minutes a game and gradually increase if he responds positively.

There was a cool post about how Illinois/Nebraska had the best rating ever for an FS1 college hoops game! It made me want to look up this year's Big Ten matchups by TV channel so far. Viewers are in thousands. There were also multiple games listed as "unavailable," so take that FWIW.
