both put a lot of emphasis on Nebraska not being at full strength over the last 2 games. I assume neither one of them were alerted to the fact that Kylan hasn't played in 5 games and may not play for another 2 to 4. But we got MU at home!

36-4 or bust!
Last year Iowa Stare was rolling along and had a few injuries/devastating losses about this time of year. They never recovered, lost their juice, and got beat in the second round.I really hope we don’t limp into the postseason like that year when Trent Frazier had a black eye and looked like he’d gone twelve rounds in a prizefight
Eerily similar to that is we have been really short on our bench and playing a lot of people a lot of minutes. That team was just dead at the end of the season.I really hope we don’t limp into the postseason like that year when Trent Frazier had a black eye and looked like he’d gone twelve rounds in a prizefight
So whatever happened to all the talk at the beginning of the season about having a really deep bench.Eerily similar to that is we have been really short on our bench and playing a lot of people a lot of minutes. That team was just dead at the end of the season.
Our top 8 is extremely deep. Petrovic is a bust and Lee is a project type freshman. Jakstys has a medical issue and is out. I was hoping that we could get 5-10min out of Petrovic and/or Lee, but Underwood didn't go that route. So whatever happened to all the talk at the beginning of the season about having a really deep bench.
Yeah I saw a lot of fatigue and tired legs last night. When you get tired you tend to make mistakes hence the turnovers. Our top 8 is extremely deep. Such talk existed for every Illinois team going back to at least WWII.So whatever happened to all the talk at the beginning of the season about having a really deep bench.
Last year, Iowa State didn't have Keshon Gilbert for the tournament at all and Lipsey was hurt, but played. They were in the same location as Illinois last year(Milwaukee).Last year Iowa Stare was rolling along and had a few injuries/devastating losses about this time of year. They never recovered, lost their juice, and got beat in the second round.
