Tell that to the last 2 officiating crews...
It's great that Kilgore Trout liked this posthe's a good player, but probably not good enough to crack the rotation. if he sticks around, maybe as an upperclassman.
great athlete though, no doubt. kinda like the Vonnegut of writers
There were a lot of games that we were in no danger of losing where Brad could have played Petro and Lee more, IMHOFatigue a major factor.
With Petro borderline unplayable and Lee not ready yet, when Kylan got hurt, Brad shrunk down to a 7 man rotation. Then those 7 guys played games every 3 days including top 5 Purdue on the road, top 5 Nebraska on the road, top 10 Michigan State on the road.
Robert tweeted quite a bit during the second half of the MSU game that the guys looked exhausted. Then after the emotional overtime loss, there was a two day turnaround before Wisconsin in front of a dead crowd without our current best on ball defender (and our previous best on ball defender also hurt), which shrunk the rotation down to 6.
And it’s easy to say, “Brad should’ve played Petro more sooner just to save their legs!”, but that could’ve cost us another game along the way.
I honestly think Brad’s biggest lineup mismanagement was the Northwestern game. I don’t care if we give up that entire lead and only win by 10 (metrics be damned), Wagler shouldn’t have played more than 25 minutes that game, which would have kept him better rested for both MSU and Wisconsin.
Agree...I think by the time we went to play MSU, fatigue was catching up with us and compounded at home when we went down two players. Some ticks from Perto and Lee in some games where we were easily going to win could have provided some rest. There were a lot of games that we were in no danger of losing where Brad could have played Petro and Lee more, IMHO
but then we likely don't have the #1 offensive efficiency (which I am confident is a decision point for this staff)There were a lot of games that we were in no danger of losing where Brad could have played Petro and Lee more, IMHO

Man, I sure hope you're right.^^^ We'll have Kylan and Andrej back.

I still haven't learned the little symbols for each school, like which G is Georgia and which is Gonzaga. Same with the V's for Vanderbilt and Villanova. Also the different cat heads.
Go to the schedule on the Illini Athletics page and click on "Live Stats" for the game you're watching.Does anybody know the source of these particular stat pages? I follow Dan’s links to live stats each game, but it’s not exactly this page. I really like this layout, but I only ever see it at halftime and at the end of games posted by people like Jeremy Werner. Anyone know the source? This photo is an example from halftime of the Wisconsin game.

I was at the game...I assure you it was not a dead crowd! This issue has been beaten to death, but I think what you hear on TV as "passive" fans has more to do with the acoustics of SFC than anything else...I was in section 120 row 5 and the crowd was standing and cheering for close to 50% of the game...It was loud..

I agree with you on all of these except for Plummer.Superstars: Keaton, Ayo, Kofi, Terrance
Stars: KJ, Riley, Trent, Boswell, Domask, Plummer
By superstar I mean jersey in the rafters — I think Keaton gets there this year. Criteria is B10 player of the year and/or 1st or 2nd team All American.
Wasn't a star?I agree with you on all of these except for Plummer.
