A little more white trim north & south and that sucker starts to pop. It then breaks it up and looks less drab; IMO.

We're one uniform away from my ideal rotation. FI in all three colors as our default set. And orange and white scripts for alts.
Just need the white FI uni to make a comeback.
I'm content with our current situation though. How awesome is it that we got fresh uniforms the same year we go back to the Final Four. Just a cool season all the way around.

Lol ya, the grey needs to be darker. Chat gpt didn't like making the grey darker so I got lazy. As I said, if they wanted to honor the Grey Ghost, it could be done once a year, but I would probably use the Navy Blues and just make the script and numbers grey.

To me, anything gray should only be in football (since Red Grange only played football, not basketball), and it should be used only in the case of a very special celebration game or anniversary… Stick to Orange and Blue and White, Illinois’ school colors…

Right with you. We have great colors and a wonderful set of templates, there’s really no need to mix things up unless it’s a true throwback like the 2005s.
I’ll say the same thing for football. Keep things simple and timeless, and don’t mess with it.

Just got my navy Mirk Fighting Illini jersey in the mail today. Hoping for no surprises with him entering the portal. That would be very in keeping with my luck.

Yes, we make the jersey a darker grey, then we take that darker gray jersey and incinerate it, and then we sweep up the ashes and fire them out of a cannon into the middle of the ocean, and then we enter a blood pact to never talk about this again, and it's perfect.
