Does anyone know why he was supposedly unhappy? He got almost 25 mpg as a freshman, more than any of the other freshmen, so it can't be play time, right?Epps is going to be a great college player this would really sting. He’s going to be a 17 ppg guy. Hell he averaged 10 as a freshman playing out of position.
For a man of his complexion to choose a team that wears orange shows he has true courage.I’m still surprised he isn’t at Wisconsin

Same for 3 pointersI saw we get the WBB team to challenge the men to a free throw shooting contest, and give the men until Sept first to practice so the men can at least have a shot at being minimally competitive.
Big 10 and ACC have 2 completely different problems. ACC has performed well and the commissioner actually noted that as a reason they should get more teams in. That's not a bad arguement. Big 10 is the exact opposite. I think the ACC commissioner sounds like an idiot talking about going off the eye test vs the NET. Of course as the commissioner you'll think your teams look better. The computer rankings take away that bias. The ACC is trying to figure out why they only got 5 teams in this year and haven’t done well as a whole in the tournament. Something the Big Ten has not self reflected on
Reading the article seems like they are looking at how to fix conference schedules. And if NET is going to be around long term how to get better rankings or they might try and have the NET adjusted
The Big Ten hasn’t won a national championship for 20 years and there have been very little adjustments
The Big Ten was smart on how to make money but if the conference doesn’t perform better in March it will affect the bottom line eventually
Sometimes things just go well together, right? I believe this is why Adam Miller left. Too much of a clash with the orange and yellow. For a man of his complexion to choose a team that wears orange shows he has true courage.
The common opinion on this is because he didn't like being yelled at and the "tough love" approach. You're right though. The kid got the opportunity of a lifetime to play 25 minutes as a freshman (due the Skyy bailing). People look at Freshmen and think that their only issues can be physical strength and experience. That definitely not the case. Maturity and growing up is also a huge part of it(even for students). That's where JE struggled. He was thrust into the fire in a critical position of need. Emotionally, he just didn't handle it well and when they happens, people have a tendency to pout and feel picked. With maturity and emotional growth comes appreciation for being pushed and challenged. I'm sure that he and BU had the father/son "talk". We'll see what comes of it.Does anyone know why he was supposedly unhappy? He got almost 25 mpg as a freshman, more than any of the other freshmen, so it can't be play time, right?

Am the only one that feels like if Epps leaves it isn't that big of a deal?Lot of smoke there. Even from insiders from other teams. Lot of smoke. If he isn't the one leaving shortly, I'd still be surprised if he was on the roster next year as sadly it sounded like he wasn't very happy here.
It might also be that he didn't like playing out of position, and then getting yelled at for his mistakes when being asked to consistently play out of position. One can only hope that the staff assures him they'll be addressing the point guard position so that he'll only have to play some spot minutes backing up new starting point guard, so that he'll have time to grow into being a point guard (which I assume he knows he'll have to do because of his height limitations). As a freshman and not missing anytime, Epps could've been at 400pts.. in his first season. Playing the point and not off guard. The only reason I can think of him wanting to transfer would be personality difference with coaches and a few players. It happens. I have 16 conference games recorded. Atleast 5 occasions coaches and specially Hawkins mentioned plays being called and not even coming close to being ran. I have counted +5 where Epps ignores wide open teammates and drives to the rim or launched a difficult 3. I'm not a expert, but he could come close to 1800 points in our uniform. Transferring makes no sense to me, unless he simply doesn't like staff or Champaign. We will see. I will say this he is a baller and I hope he's in our uniform for 4 years.
I'd hate to see him leave. He kind of hit the freshman wall, and the concussion sure didn't help, but he's wired to score and finds angles to the basket that are really impressive.Am the only one that feels like if Epps leaves it isn't that big of a deal?
I agree with your thought process. I will say he is never playing in the NBA as a 2 guard, Period. Unless he turns into the kid from KState/ Trae young playing point, scoring, and dropping dimes. No shot at NBA. Him playing point is a natural progression for him. Jamaal Shead, same size and body. He's playing in the league and he is a point guard bull dog! Epps should be aspiring to be #1 point in nation. IMOIt might also be that he didn't like playing out of position, and then getting yelled at for his mistakes when being asked to consistently play out of position. One can only hope that the staff assures him they'll be addressing the point guard position so that he'll only have to play some spot minutes backing up new starting point guard, so that he'll have time to grow into being a point guard (which I assume he knows he'll have to do because of his height limitations).
actually , i’m surprised he’s not at IU or PurdueI’m still surprised he isn’t at Wisconsin
Not the only one but Skyy leaving was whether some wanna admit or or not. He was or only true PG. Epps can play PG. If Epps was to leave we have no one ready so until we do it would be a big deal.Am the only one that feels like if Epps leaves it isn't that big of a deal?

No one has a free throw coach?I have been asking this for over two years on here with no answer- WHO IS THE FREE THROW COACH FOR US????? Do we not have one, which would explain things, does no one want to say, or is it by committee? Please someone come up with the answer- Thanks you!!!!
Regardless of who comes and who goes, and regardless of who we bring in from the portal… Work ethic, attitude, culture, upperclassman, every day guy and heck of a player.
Are you saying that no college team has one? I was good friends for years with the free throw shooting coach for the Dallas Mavericks who in the summer worked with coach K, Roy Williams, & about 30 other college coaches. If we dont have one we darn sure need one. Or at least BU needs to go find one who can teach him how to do it.No one has a free throw coach?
It's a tough one. He surely knows how to get into the lane to score, but he isn't a particularly good passer, and he has terrible form on his jumpers. He's a 6'1" shooting guard, which causes match-up problems on defense. In the end, however, you want your good players to return.Am the only one that feels like if Epps leaves it isn't that big of a deal?
