I'm just full of ulcers, colon, stomach, esophagus. They go both directions when the scope me. I joke that I hope they do the esophagus first. Ulcers in the colon, but not ulcerative colitis, thank God! Hiatal hernia that lets my stomach contents (acid) flow into my esophagus when I lay flat, so I sleep at an angle.
The colonoscopy is not a big deal at all. Cleanout the day before isn't cool, but also no big deal. Absolutely get it done. I had a couple of polyps removed years ago that were nothing. If they were still there, maybe they would still be nothing, maybe they would have grown into something awful.
I actually wake up after I have been talking, getting dressed, etc for a while. My wife has to record the doctor when he tells us what he found, because I usually don't remember seeing him.
