Definitely a big help. He was also a team captain, which I am not surprised by at all.

I'm assuming he has the speed/athleticism that the Pac-12 is known for. Big addition.

Sounds like the opposite. High football IQ, better against the run than the pass, not an explosive athlete, team leader, etc.

Sounds very Mason Monheim-ish. That kind of soundness will be very valuable with the inexperience elsewhere in the linebacking core.

Monheim was who I thought of watching his highlights.

Awesome news. Wonder if there are any graduate WR's or RB's that might want to be a part of the Lovie Train

Welcome Aboard Hardy.

Your Leadership both on and off the field is outstanding.

Having a chance to play for your Father's team is priceless. There is no doubt in my military mind that your Dad sees something special in you. He is a great judge of talent. I also think you are a remarkable young man with a degree from Cal that can play Line Backer with heart and soul.

Looks like a scrappy, fundamentally sound player with great instincts. Adding a run-and-tackle MLB dramatically improves the prospects of this defense. Hopefully he's good in coverage, as that's an important responsibility for the MIKE in Lovie's D. He's not an uber athlete, but he looks reasonably quick. All in all, huge pickup! If the secondary gels, we could be more than respectable on that side of the ball.

I agree with what others have alluded to: get Tuley-Tillman on board and find another skill position playmaker and we're in business.

What a terrific opportunity for father and son. Welcome young man to the Illini. Best of luck.

Time to make more use of the fullback in our offense.

Yeah I'm not sure this addition could be overstated. He's got the upside of a 3rd team All conference player at a major position of need. Awesome.
