Joriell Washington also gone portaling.
Not gonna playRe: Wisecarver, does this mean we are gonna bring in someone or he just didn't have much of a chance for playing time?
Staff wants a different type of lineman. Brody was a fit for the old schemeRe: Wisecarver, does this mean we are gonna bring in someone or he just didn't have much of a chance for playing time?
Do we still want the giants up front even with the more open/modern seeming scheme? Not gonna play
Bret likes his hogmollys up frontDo we still want the giants up front even with the more open/modern seeming scheme?
Seems like sometimes guys in those schemes are a little smaller so they can move a little better.
From the same source I heard about wisecarver on transfer watch. I heard a couple more kids will enter the portal in the next couple days. A few lovie recruits who are buried. In state kid too which sucks.I just don’t see it with kreutz. I think he’s scrappy. But they moved philstrom and started him over kreutz for a reason. This staff likes size upfront. I’d love it if kreutz would be the guy however. Wisecarver is low on the depth chart currently. He wasn’t even on the second line during the scrimmage. He’s on transfer watch from what I heard. I do agree that crisler might not be ready and adams could very well start over him. Barlev is another sleeper as well.
That’s a shame. Thought this kid would be a starter by year two.
That’s the instate one. A RB and a TE is what I heard were coming next. From the same source I heard about wisecarver on transfer watch. I heard a couple more kids will enter the portal in the next couple days. A few lovie recruits who are buried. In state kid too which sucks.
RB the kid from Montini? That’s the instate one. A RB and a TE is what I heard were coming next.
Him and griffin Moore were the two names I was hearing along with coran and wisecarver.RB the kid from Montini?
His tape is impressive.Heard a little juicy rumor. Staff thinks the new walk on QB could start games. And will be on scholarship after one season.
Very much so. He has a little wes lunt in his arm talent. His tape is impressive.
That's great to hear. How are his legs? Wes was quite the statue.Very much so. He has a little wes lunt in his arm talent.
Much more attractive. He can move. Not a dual threat by any means. But not a statue. That's great to hear. How are his legs? Wes was quite the statue.
Worst case, at 6'6, move him to TE.Much more attractive. He can move. Not a dual threat by any means. But not a statue.
Lovies lineman we’re recruited for a zone blocking scheme (think zone in basketball, you guard your gap). BB/millers scheme is a road grader scheme. Kid large country strong dudes. And run the ball over them. Grind them down. It’s why barlev and kreutz make some sense to keep and Brody/wisecarver/kirts didn’t. Also most of lovies OL recruits weren’t BIG10 caliber guys.Worst case, at 6'6, move him to TE.
With Plohr now in the portal, what exactly is the difference between a Lovie OLineman and BB's? (Besides size...as BB is recruiting some huge HS kids)
He is a couple years away. He won’t start this season. But just like Brandon weeden and a few others. Those baseball pitchers have great mechanics. And he’s a good enough athlete. Texas baseball is serious. So a walk on, who has been playing baseball for a couple of years, may become the starting QB this year? Is it time to panic or should we thank the Football Gods for finally smiling upon us after a century or so of neglect?
Thank goodness the beta blocker works, my stent fully opened the LAD, and I'm generally calm by demeanor.
