Didnt we go with grass a couple years ago?
I'm super tired of 1LL1NO1SWas really hoping for script Illinois. :/
Not a big fan of the Block I inside the state outline.Well that pretty much also kills any hope I had with the uniforms if we're still using that God awful font. No way we do script on the helmets with that atrocity in the endzone.
Yeah, looks like they made it smaller. And while it's technically centered it looks off because of the shape of the state. Not a big fan of the Block I inside the state outline.
Yeah, the Block I is smaller, but the state outline is the same size. AND not sure it will stay this way, but there aren't any yard markers inside the state outline anymore which is a slight change.Yeah, looks like they made it smaller. Looks to me that they improved the font on the yardline numerals. Prior version was a chunky-looking style that I never liked.Appears they removed the orange where the players on each team stand, and added "Zuppke Field" near the endzones. Can't see any other differences at first glance.
56 years ago for me............................just sayin.......................Didnt we go with grass a couple years ago?
one season does not a legacy makenot impressed at all .
whitman swung & missed on this one
They say the grass is always greener....Can't please everyone all of the time. Can't even please everyone some of the time. Guess we'll have to settle for pleasing some people some of the time.
Most college stadium seating is gray concrete. Thats what fans are for..Am I the only one that thinks the grey seating makes this stadium look dull, depressing, dreary…
Seeing all that gray during a game is depressing, but I'm pretty sure 95% of all college stadiums seating is that color.Am I the only one that thinks the grey seating makes this stadium look dull, depressing, dreary…
Absolutely, that and the two tone are the best part for me.Looks to me that they improved the font on the yardline numerals. Prior version was a chunky-looking style that I never liked.

Posting one exception does not refute his statement. A cursory Google search of "football stadiums" and looking under images, shows it may not be quite 95% that are gray/concrete, but not too far off (maybe 90%?).
Would be nice to have some real seating around our stadium too. My back could use a break every now and then.
agree. but methinks you will be waiting awhile for thatWould be nice to have some real seating around our stadium too. My back could use a break every now and then.
Not trying to refute the statement. Just showing how cool it could look. Also hides empty seats a lot better than NW's tarps.Posting one exception does not refute his statement. Gotcha. It certainly does look better! Maybe Josh can make it happen when they finally get around to the South End zone project. Not trying to refute the statement. Just showing how cool it could look. Also hides empty seats a lot better than NW's tarps.
Then you've never been to Purdue . . .Am I the only one that thinks the grey seating makes this stadium look dull, depressing, dreary…
