Especially in light of the turnover. I like Odeluga and Hill, but having a multi-year starter back to helm the D is comforting.

Holmes is an OLB. Which in our scheme is pretty darn close to a stand up DE. OLB and ILB are not the same.
Definitely, good that he's back. Bryant too. Will Badie make a push? by far the biggest OLB key: Coleman returning.

I wonder if Henry will change the defense.
The 5-1-5 is interesting variation that a lot of opponents struggled against. However other than blitzing secondary when we put pressure on the QB our defense linemen were too slow to get the sack in the open field.
I love the run stoppers and inside pressure but I think we need some edge rushers that can run the QB down on regular basis.

I’m sure it will stay flexible.
Base of 5 lineman for the most part.
Obviously will plan different when playing Iowa and Purdue.
Important to be able to mix up def and coverages.

Jacas is a 3-4 OLB/4-3 DE. He is listed as 265 lbs so he will be a DE in a five man front (also assume the returning member(s) of the law firm will be at DT)
