That schedule is incredibly favorable. I only see 2 games that seem the most likely to be losses (PSU and Iowa).

Defense has front line back. New secondary looked good in bowl game.

JMO - it comes down to QB and offensive line. Can Luke be at least an average B10 starting QB from day one.

Did OK in Sugar Bowl vs Baylor, and in short stint vs Auburn and Central Arkansas

They're trying to move the games along
For two reasons. One - the fans want a shorter game. Two - reduces the number of plays which, in turn, reduces the number of injuries.
I'd like to see them also put a limit on 'reviews'. Give them 60 seconds. If they can't see evidence for changing the call in that time then let the original call stand.

Don't like running clock after first down. Penalizes the offense, why would they do that?

My guess is they don't approve that one --too drastic.

The problem here is the business model. They want more time for ads, but the more they cut down on the actual game, the less people want to watch. Now they have to figure out how to solve the problem they created....

I like that on reviews. If you can't see it in a minute, it's not clear and they need to play on.

I like the no double timeouts thing, too. One to ice the kicker is more than enough

I don't like any of them, but then again I generally don't like messing with game at all.

But I disagree with the above a bit...installing a new rule that mimics one already in use in the NFL seems less drastic than creating a new one from scratch.

The untimed downs at the ends of Q1 and Q3 thing seems dumb. All quarters are important, some are just more important than others?

And besides that, how many untimed downs are there at the ends of those quarters that it even needs to be addressed?

Call me old school but I really don’t like any of those. The three timeouts to ‘ice’ the kicker I could live with….. how about fewer tv timeouts? Lol. No way that’ll happen

Plus # of plays has increased with more passing, and no huddle offenses. Which one can argue is safer than 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

How about just shortening the quarters to 12 mins instead of affecting how the game is played

Absolutely agree with the 60 seconds time limit suggestion. In addition to that, move the replay review to a central B1G headquarters, just like MLB did. I never understood the point of having the same referee crew that just made a call review their own call on a cell phone video screen under a hood. Have personnel in a central headquarters do the review and give them 60 seconds maximum to reverse a call. If they reverse a call within 60 seconds and need more time to spot the correct yardline or time on the clock, fine. But 60 seconds to say "Right" or "Wrong".

I've often thought on reviews they should be handled by a third party, and they shouldn't be told what the call in the field was. If it's 51% one way then that's what the call should be regardless of what the on field officials said. But they'll never do that because they don't want to embarrass the refs even if it leads to more calls being made correctly.

The NFL seems to be able to do pretty well with keeping the running clock after first downs (excepting plays that go out of bounds of course).
