No TV.Any chance they will let kids give verbals live on TV during the spring game tomorrow? Could generate some buzz.

Coaching staff cannot comment on recruits until a LOI is signed or, in the case of transfers, until financial arrangements have been finalized.Any chance they will let kids give verbals live on TV during the spring game tomorrow? Could generate some buzz.
Spring game is Friday now. And won’t be on BTNAny chance they will let kids give verbals live on TV during the spring game tomorrow? Could generate some buzz.
Better than having a bunch of people show up and then having to delay or cancel the whole thing due to thunderstorms, but still a bummer.Spring game is Friday now. And won’t be on BTN
But that would cut down ad revenue! Thats the only reason this sport is still around, what with the turning knees to glass and brains to mush.
This is not how to go about shortening games. Shorten the broadcast, not the game itself.
It says that the clock will stop after first downs in the final 2 minutes of each half. Might want to read the the article. It states that in the first paragraph.Get ready for fewer games with exciting endings. Going the length of the field with 45 seconds left when down 5 is almost impossible now.
Shorten video reviews. Move all reviews to a central location somewhere with several replay officials, give them every possible angle, and let them get it done quickly. Waiting for the refs to trot across the field to the 6" diagonal replay monitor, futz around calling for angles, rewinds, etc., then conferring amongst themselves is not only quite a bit of wasted time, it doesn't really create much confidence in the process. Especially when they still get an obvious call wrong.

It's funny, I almost added that caveat before I hit post but got distractedIt says that the clock will stop after first downs in the final 2 minutes of each half. Might want to read the the article. It states that in the first paragraph.
Superb idea! Go even farther and have these officials offsite with no clue re: the score or time remaining. They should only review the play itself with no context whatsoever. Context is irrelevant.Shorten video reviews. Move all reviews to a central location somewhere with several replay officials, give them every possible angle, and let them get it done quickly. With the schmack guy.Still kinda sad and bad that there is no streaming for the scrimmage, if 1A teams can put their games on YouTube, Illinois could do something similar with better video
I don't get this either, I guarantee there equipment is around, and if we don't have staff to do it, hire freelancers or a local station's video staff. It's not hard, unless there are some media rights issues or something we're not aware of.Still kinda sad and bad that there is no streaming for the scrimmage, if 1A teams can put their games on YouTube, Illinois could do something similar with better video
Maybe they don’t want our opp to get a previewI don't get this either, I guarantee there equipment is around, and if we don't have staff to do it, hire freelancers or a local station's video staff. It's not hard, unless there are some media rights issues or something we're not aware of.
True - but they were going to get it last night on BTN until the weather changed thingsMaybe they don’t want our opp to get a preview
If it had been the opposite, would we hear hand-wringing about the offense? The glass is half full either way. looking forward to a great season.sounds like the defense is being gashed. Is Altmeier playing against the second team defense?
