"Nearly 8,000 new season tickets sold for this fall, expect it surpass 9k, 92% renewal rate..

50 new points of sale on concessions at Memorial Stadium, will have multiple walk-thru concessions like at several professional stadiums. Will have in-seat service in west balcony in select areas..

Invested in $8 million in Memorial Stadium in last three years, bulk on east side, troughs are gone in bathrooms. After this season, plans to fully gut and remodel south bathrooms

Future timeline TBD: stadium four-pack (wi-fi, video board, LED lights, new sound system), price tag $25-$30 million"

Nearly 8,000 new season tickets sold for this fall, expect it surpass 9k, 92% renewal rate

“If we want to accomplish our goals, we need to fill Memorial Stadium

Excellent news on the ticket sales. Valid point on the need to fill the stadium. To illustrate, a point made in this article:

Michigan makes more than $8 million in ticket sales for a single game, which is more than recent UI teams have derived from an entire season.

I disagree with just about every sentence in this post. 11:00 am starts are the worst. And guess what buddy, there is not a room to be had in CU Friday for a Saturday game unless you hit the Holiday Inn Express in Tuscola. And what do you tailgate, breakfast/ Lunch? Rousting the students out of bed and their PJs at the crack of dawn isn't usually happening either. Even watching TV at 11:00 am is the pits. Half the neighborhood are mowing their lawns.
I live in SoCal - 11 am CST means 9 am start here. Its great almost all games are on TV but hate to lose my Saturday mornings. Much prefer afternoon or evening. Love watching USC in evening after dinner.

So...2022 Iowa would be there by the third quarter.

My guess is chicken makes up less than 3% of Culver’s sales and burgers about 90%. It’s like Chick Fil A offering burgers, but with inverse sales results. Each is a leader in its space.
Culvers is a burger/ice cream place that also has a decent fried fish meal (if there is such a thing at the fast food level of things). Their chicken thing is just to round out the menu.

funny thing, while McDonalds sells mainly burgers, Im told they also sell more chicken than anyone else

I’ll have to try their fish then. Fast food fish has always been a disappointment. Most fish and chips in this country too.

I'm coming from SC for three games this fall and I was able to get rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights (not only for me, but for my brother too). And I had many hotel choices/options for each weekend. (Perhaps you need to select your games earlier in the year if planning to stay overnight.) For one game in 2022, I even stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in Urbana.

I highly recommend the "stay all weekend approach" for those who can do so. You can that way incorporate dinners, breakfasts, bars and connecting with old college mates...........in addition to tailgating of course.

Game times pretty much become irrelevant. In fact, start times are not even a consideration when I choose which games to attend. The only aspect of Game Day that's lacking for me right now is the home game attendance, and I sense that is slowly changing. I'd really like to see 50,000 to 60,000 in the stands for each game this season!

I'm also going to Lawrence, KS this year and, thus far, nearly everything seems to be identical to the Champaign experience.

They have a great tenderloin, unless you like it 12” wide and paper thin. This is actual meat. Also the hot roast beef is surprisingly good.

here's my take on why O$U , Michigan or USC do not and will not necessarily dominate the "ALL B1G" lists
yes they have rosters loaded with 4* & 5* players out of high school. but that simply means they have a better "chance" of getting really good players - its not guaranteed they are better .

To a large extent, all the 3* players capable of getting interest from P5 programs around the country and then making a B1G roster are often just as good. sometimes even better .

The stars awarded by ranking services simply dont mean you are better, but collectively , a team has a better chance of getting really good players when they can fish from the 5* and 4* pond vs the 3* pond.

Teams like Iowa and Wiscy have done really well over the years when they can indentify the 3* players that they feel are under rated. Thats the only way we will be able to compete. We will never be able to land Top 15 rated recruiting classes
