This is a very good hire, imo. Great experience: Great track record of results. Calling defense for Texas Tech under Kingsbury, was no easy task, with the air raid, and he performed well. We need a coach that gets the most out of 3 star recruits(that we currently land), and he seems to max out the talent he has worked with. I do agree that his contributions to recruiting leave some question marks.

What are the question marks regarding recruiting? Is that a known weakness or more people’s worries given how effective Buh was? Was Fenelus, who he is technically replacing, a great recruiter?

Shedeur Sanders has never taken a class on campus and missing out, according to Coach Prime

"But now you have so many kids that are just online. I don't even know if Shedeur has ever taken a class on campus in his college career."
"It's so different now," Sanders admitted. "Most of the schooling is online. They go to classes and I'm like, 'You guys are missing the best part of college to walk around and be on campus and build an atmosphere and build relationships on campus with other students outside of football. That's the best part of it.

this is a big problem and only going to get worse. one of the many ways college sports are devolving

When Clay Patterson decommited, there were rumblings that we might lose another transfer commit. Which player was it? I'm guessing everything got smoothed over...

Sure it wasn’t a recruit? I think a recruit decommited about that same time. Can’t remember who, though think he was a TE and that was a team decision and we let him announce he was reopening recruitment.

Athletes have been primarily registering for online classes for at least 10 years. Probably 15 years in P5.

Yeah, he would clearly be the tertiary coach, not the secondary coach.
