You're certainly not alone. But, it’s not the way the system is going to work any longer. You pay Illinois, Illinois pays the players. Pay to play, regardless of what anyone says. Illinois is going to reward those who pay, cashola is what the program needs.
Reseating won’t be done again until 2031. I suppose, technically, someone could drop a load this year and then keep those seats until 2031. Just pay for the ticket and priority seating contribution(PSC) for future years. That doesn’t help Illinois remain competitive but….. I want to see Illinois remain competitive with salaries for the coaches and players.
I personally am contributing more simply because I prefer it going to the players vs. admin costs. Speaking of which, I believe Illinois now subs out some of work in the DIA. Your reps, I don’t believe, are Illinois employees. At least at a low level like me.

They represent Illinois but work for a 3rd party. I do see they use salesforce software, I suppose a good thing in tracking supporters, their history, and their oddities. So, they’ve reduced admin cost in that respect. The Fat Cats still get personalized real Illinois employee treatment (as they should).
I'll deal with my seating when it's my turn in line, for better or worse.
