You're certainly not alone. But, it’s not the way the system is going to work any longer. You pay Illinois, Illinois pays the players. Pay to play, regardless of what anyone says. Illinois is going to reward those who pay, cashola is what the program needs.

Reseating won’t be done again until 2031. I suppose, technically, someone could drop a load this year and then keep those seats until 2031. Just pay for the ticket and priority seating contribution(PSC) for future years. That doesn’t help Illinois remain competitive but….. I want to see Illinois remain competitive with salaries for the coaches and players.

I personally am contributing more simply because I prefer it going to the players vs. admin costs. Speaking of which, I believe Illinois now subs out some of work in the DIA. Your reps, I don’t believe, are Illinois employees. At least at a low level like me.😒 They represent Illinois but work for a 3rd party. I do see they use salesforce software, I suppose a good thing in tracking supporters, their history, and their oddities. So, they’ve reduced admin cost in that respect. The Fat Cats still get personalized real Illinois employee treatment (as they should).

I'll deal with my seating when it's my turn in line, for better or worse.
And 1 more item I'd like to add regarding money. Seeing what is happening at Purdue right now, it's more important than ever to have the right man at the top. The non-blue bloods can be sunk in less than 2 years with the wrong staff. Potentially sunk into oblivion. Having a nice war chest makes it so much easier to get the right people.

The first half of bowl practices will be a lot of devo time. Get the 3s and 4s meaningful reps and a lot of good scrimmage time. Rest and recovery for the 1s and 2s with some mental prep for bowl opponent etc.

JC, Seth, can we assume both not playing in the citrus bowl?
it’s safe to assume that , but they will announce that at a time of their choosing & when the program says its proper to do so .

we can assume any player out of future eligibility , who has a chance of getting drafted or being a legitimate undrafted free agent , will opt out of the bowl game .

Fly out Christmas night then probably practice daily and visit a hospital, go to Disney, go to a cheap second rate amusement park, a few of the adults hit Thee Dollhouse or fly up to Magic City, practice, pep rally, game , fly home

I REALLY dislike this trend of guys sitting out the bowl games for fear of getting hurt. Now it has become a status symbol of "how good I am" in declaring that I skipping the most important game of the year. I know they could ruin their career, but that could be said of any game? Why not skip the ending game of the regular season? Or the last two or three?

Sitting out is a rather new trend, but they came to school to play football, get paid, and earn an education--maybe in that order. Finish it out! And it really hurts teams with thin rosters like ours...

Can't they (or the school) take out an insurance policy to cover the game?

I live near Orlando, will likely go to the game, but it sure depreciates the experience if key players are missing, like in 2022.

Just sayin'

where do things stand with Easton Baker? i know there was a lot of buzz around him coming, then some angst with coaching changes and then injury.
