With the win, AdC:

- Debuts at 22nd in the KFT points list
- Jumps from #3681 to #479 in the Official Golf World Rankings. He is now the fourth-highest former Illini in the rankings
- Increases his chances of getting sponsor exemptions for PGA Tour events - I'd think he's a shoo-in for the John Deere Classic, and may get a couple more

He said after the win that he withdrew from the U.S. Open sectional qualifier to focus on his KFT debut. Good choice...

Also congrats to Stricker, who is playing on a whole different level. In 11 starts on the Champions Tour this season, he finished in the top-5 10 times, winning four. His worst finish: T8.

Adrien Dumont de Chassart does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon, posting a 6-under 64 in round one of the Wichita Open. As a pro, he has been -5 or better in all five rounds so far! He currently sits at T2, 2 strokes off the lead. Also starting strong: Brian Campbell (-5) and Michael Feagles (-5 thru 14).

Pieters is even par thru 9 in the U.S. Open, with Nick Hardy teeing off later this afternoon.

I don't think ADdC is going to be on the Korn Ferry tour very long. This guy will be on the PGA tour sooner rather than later.
