Updated Vegas odds (pretty much consensus) --- from 2-3 days ago. He's now at #6 and quickly moving up. Without doing the math, Ayo seems to be averaging roughly 14 and 10 over the past month or so, while playing "ELITE" defense.
(I believe Cade is already now #1, so the rankings are extremely fluid. Wagner is falling fast.)

Yeah this is what I saw. Ayos defender sees Derozan coming over the top for a handoff situation. He freezes for a millisecond and that gives Ayo the angle. The gravity of Demar helped Ayo in that situation and he finished it the right way.
I like these odds! We’ve got a player that’s getting hot at the right time. He’s got at least 6 weeks as the featured PG to showcase his skills. If he can lead the 1st place team to the playoffs; It will be hard for the voters to ignore him. It doesn’t hurt that he is a fan favorite in a major market. The NBA would also love to tell the story of going 38th and becoming ROTY. Couldn’t ask for a better representative of the game. $500 wins $33,000!

Just watched the vid for the first time. My goodness, that was absolutely filthy.
What's crazy is NBA scouts doubted Ayo's PG skills and 3 pt shooting, and to be fair those weren't his strengths in college. Now here he is averaging 10.5 assists a game over his last 4, starting at PG and shooting 43% from 3 on the season. Just amazing.
The kid plays off ball for a couple months out of necessity and has to deal with these questions smh

Going into the draft, Ayo was not consider PG material. He was drafted as a scorer primarily. Heck, most of the NBA threads the first few months had talk about Coby White vs. Ayo for minutes because they're both shooting guards.
Yes, Ayo's a good passer. Yes he had good stats in college. Yes Cousy award. But nobody, including most on this board, were expecting to see this type of playmaking from him.
