Dang. Just checked the stats…too bad he SUCKS at FTs at ONLY 86%, otherwise he’d join an elite club of 50, 40, 90.
He was in that club a month or so ago. Must have had a slump at the line. It's difficult to improve a nearly perfect %. 10 for 10 doesn't raise 86% very far.
Anyway, does he have any eligibility remaining?

KJ has had a couple good games in a row for the Heat.
Vs Celtics he had 12/8/5 off the bench in 27 minutes
Vs Thunder he started. Played 26 minutes with 7 assists/0 turnovers and Heat beat the Thunder.
I think his big question mark was the turnovers coming out of college but he’s been fine at the NBA level with regard to that

was just going to post this stat!!!! ive always been an Ayo believer but this level of sustained 3pt success is well beyond anything i thought possible.
heres to life-changing money and hopefully the opportunity to play with an organization that values your skill set (im saying this as a Bulls fan now tired of watching Ayo on the bench at end of game with far less effect players getting tick....)
Sam Smith finally giving AYO his due yesterday with an incredibly complimentary article following the Clippers game almost completely focused on AYO and describing his transition from an undervalued ILLINI second round draft pick to an "ELITE" NBA 3-and-D NBA player who deserves to be invited to the NBA All Star game 3-point shooting contest and will finally make his bag during the off-season.

This goes even back to his time in high school, when the book on him was that his jumper was a wreck.
From day 1 at Illinois he was an unexpectedly good shooter.
It's not quite Shawn Marion ugly, but it has a similar aspect to it where it's a funky looking release, but it goes in.
Something I did not have on my bingo card for this season was KJ and Riley getting more minutes than TSJ. While TSJ has currently played 18 more minutes this season than KJ (total, not per game), if recent trends continue it shouldn't take more than a couple weeks for KJ to pass TSJ up. Riley is way ahead both of them.

That is so heavily based on the team makeup that is really isn't a comparable stat. If you get on a terrible team or fill a totally empty position on a team you get playing time. That same player on a contender or a veteran heavy team gets very little playing time. Just doesn't say much about the skill or future of either player.

Of course, but this was supposed to be a breakout year for TSJ. That was the word coming out of the T'Wolves org. Just been a massively disappointing year for him. I think he'd be successful if he got regular time, but for whatever reason, he's just not getting the opportunity. It sucks, and I imagine it's frustrating
If you think about it, when you're talking about rotational players, every stat, and even just the overall career outcome, are based at least in some significant part on factors out of their control like team makeup, scheme fit, coach preferences, etc. Take for example these three anonymous players:
Player 1: 13.8 pts, 4.3 reb, 2.7 ast, 44.6% FG, 38.2% 3pt, 79.2% FT, .513 eFG, 9.6 PER
Player 2: 11.8 pts, 3.8 reb, 3.5 ast, 49.3 FG%, 31.2 3pt%, 80.5% FT, .545 eFG, 10.2 PER
Player 3: 12.5 pts, 6.2 reb, 1.3 ast, 46.4% FG, 35.9% 3pt, 78.6% FT, .589 eFG, 12.8 PER
These are all Per 36 minute NBA stats from guys that everyone on this board would know. One of these represents the second year stats of a guy who has played over 150 games since that 2nd season, including 70 starts. Another represents the career stats of a guy who has managed to stick with an NBA team but has had to fight for rotational minutes. And the one of them represents the career stats of a guy who got a couple cups of coffee in the NBA but wasn't able to stick around, and has spent the vast majority of his career in the G League and Europe.

I be honest never imagined Ayo in 3pt contest but now I hope him get invited.
I always like Riley more than KJ, especially the driving game. TSJ is certainly a disappointment this season. I am not sure who should be responsible for that. I think the foot injury didn't help.
I hope him get invited...too!
