The Bulls did Ayo a favor by trading him. He can actually win and really showcase his skills now.

Sucks for Bulls fans, but as an Ayo fan, I am very happy he is getting the opportunity in Minnesota.
As more of an Ayo fan than a Bulls fan (I live in the Chicago area now, but did not grow up here, so I am a fan but pretty casual about it), I think it was such a blessing in disguise for him. I think if they had kept him and decided they wanted to re-sign him he would have stayed, just because of his connection to the city. But that would have been bad for his career. I'm hoping that now that he's seen that life can be good with another NBA org, he'll be focused on finding the best possible situation for himself this offseason.

that's shockingly low number of triple doubles for a franchise in the NBA? maybe I'm just used to seeing Westbrook and jokic pump them out every other night over the past few years

its specifically referencing those point/rebound totals as part of a triple double. quick check and the Twolves have 44 total triple doubles in their history

crazy thing is he was one assist shy of having completed the triple double in the 3rd quarter
