We had a ton of guard injuries last year. Better to have someone in reserve than need to beg another team for a playerWhy did they pick Terry then?

Thanks for all the answers. Sounds like a defense, energy guy, project guard, which probably makes sense for Bulls. My question about Terry has nothing to do with Ayo. I agree the fact that Ayo is not playing Summer league tells me everything. He has proved himself. It's just finally Bulls are back on my radar since MJ's retirement due to Ayo that I have more Bulls related questions these days.Terry is a project with tons of potential that can guard 1-3. Couple years away. But NBA is about versatility this days, less positionless. So it's not necessarily Ayo he's replacing. Could be Ball if he stays injured, Derozan if he moves on, Coby White. Who knows. Like Jimmy Butler early on, at least he will be energy and defense off the bench until hopefully his offensive game develops more.
Kofi needs to make his bones on the boards this summer. Intimidate those who would challenge him there.Kofi - 13 rebounds in 15 minutes tonight. Well done.
True, but he will need much more than he has shown to stick in NBA.Kofi needs to make his bones on the boards this summer. Intimidate those who would challenge him there.

For those with nothing better to do, and really IS there anything better(r?), you can follow Kofi in the summer league twice this week on ESPN2. 6 PM CST/7 PM EST on Wednesday and 4 PM CST/5 PM EST on Friday. Now that Gobert is out of the way he has at least a better shot of snagging a roster spot.
Yep, you're right. I glanced at the listing and it looked like it said NBA Canada was the network, So, Monday 9 PM CST/10 PM EST on NBA TV too. It's a virtual Kofi-palooza.This page says Monday too.

Unfortunately summer league stats aren't kept very well, this only includes his first game.I went to the summer league link on NBA.com to find Kofi, and I figured the easiest way was to sort the 362 players on rebounds.
Guess who's currently #1
King Kofi
It looks like the Jazz rested most of the players tonight who have been getting the most Summer League minutes so far. I wouldn't read anything into it. I still think Caboclo is going to snag Kofi's potential roster spot, unfortunately.Anyone know why Kofi hasn’t gotten in to tonight’s game?
Bruno Caboclo | DNP - Coach's Decision |
Kofi Cockburn | DNP - Coach's Decision |
Vic Law | DNP - Coach's Decision |
Isaiah Miller | DNP - Coach's Decision |
Darryl Morsell | DNP - Coach's Decision |
James Palmer Jr. | DNP - Coach's Decision |
Borisa Simanic | DNP - Coach's Decision |
Kofi-palooza turned into Tacko Tuesday one day early. It's way too early to say whether Kofi makes the roster (in training camp). But, realistically, snagging a two-way contract may be his best outcome. Yeah, I don't really think undrafted free agents ever get full time roster spots right away anymore (some earn them during the season) so you're right about the 2-way contract. Jazz only have one to give because they signed Juzang to a 2-way deal already. Also of note, one of the Jazz 2-way players from last season is on their summer league roster and is likely also in contention for to get that spot back (Xavier Sneed). I guess the good news is that I do not think there would be anything stopping another team from offering him a 2-way deal after summer league if the Jazz don't, though I don't know how common that is.Kofi-palooza turned into Tacko Tuesday one day early. LOL, it must be Bruno Time. On ESPN, back on Draft Night 2014, former coach and commentator Fran Fraschilla hilariously stated that he believes Bruno Caboclo, picked at #20, is "2 Years Away from Being 2 Years Away." 4 years away from being 4 years away would have been more accurate.LOL, it must be Bruno Time. On ESPN, back on Draft Night 2014, former coach and commentator Fran Fraschilla hilariously stated that he believes Bruno Caboclo, picked at #20, is "2 Years Away from Being 2 Years Away." Go Kofi.
