What is it about the Bulls...they can beat the Sixers, Celtics multiple times...etc...this seems like a team that can compete...but doesn't want to consistently...Beverly good add...

Consistency has been an issue with the team all season. Ironically, the issue with the team last season was they were bum slayers who couldn't beat the good teams. Now it's been the reverse at times this season.

With Bulls recent win streak, they're now closer to the 8 seed in the East (currently in 10th but just 1 game back of Atlanta and a .5 game back of Toronto) than they are 11th place in the East (2 games ahead of the Wizards).

Went to a Windy City Bulls game to get me an Ayo jersey (ticket promotion) and look who they're playing.

Guess I know who I'm cheering for tonight 😂

someone refresh my memory, what was the Patrick Beverly recruitment story? I seem to remember we could have got him but Weber did something stupid. Was he the guy that wouldn't send his transcript so Weber refused to offer him?
Correct. And then Beverley was declared academically ineligible after two years at Arkansas. Not at the top of the list of ones to blame Weber for, frankly, it's a long enough list as it is.

The one that never got enough attention in my mind was when Iman Shumpert stated in recent years on a podcast or something that Weber never actually offered him, which if you remember the context around that recruitment is, like, impossible to wrap your mind around, and all these years later why would Shumpert lie about something like that? Is this something our insiders would have intel on?

Had the pleasure of seeing Ayo up close at the Mavs game tonight in Dallas. Ayo did not play well in the first half, but thankfully seemed to be much more aggressive in the second half and attacked the rim. Jump shot wasn’t falling but did many other things well.

On another note, last NBA game I will probably go to. One, I just enjoy the college game more, but more so, you pay a lot of money for tickets and tonight no Derozen, Lavine, or Beverly for the Bulls and no Kyrie, Woods or a couple others for Mavs. Media noted guys resting. Doncic played about one minute into the second quarter then pulled himself out and sat the rest of the game. It’s a joke that star players are sitting when fans are paying a premium to watch them because the need the rest. How about a movement to cut 20 games (approx 25%) from their schedule and 25% of their salaries because they are not playing. Very disappointing to purchase tickets then wait months to see your hometown team not at its best. At least I was able to see a lot of Ayo.

Glad you got to see Ayo. The mavs were tanking, which even their coach admitted to after the game, and the bulls have nothing left to play for since they are locked into their playoff seed. It’s not really about rest.

It’s a shame, and I understand if you don’t follow nba basketball, but the last 1-2 games of the season are always going to be like this, unless playoff implications are on the line.

The Mavs know their roster is no way ready for a playoff run. Horrible, horrible roster construction despite having a top 5 player with Luka

Has been a hard season to watch the Bulls, and Ayo in particular. Though poised to make a jump in year 2, he seemed tentative for much of the season.

When he was starting he deferred to DeMar/Lavine then after Pat. Bev came he was often passive on the second team and deferred to Coby and P Will.
If there's anyone who will work hard to improve, it's him. I just hope it's with the Bulls next year.

Also, sorry to hear about the original posters experience, truly frustrating.

If it helps you feel any better, my wife and I watched them play the Knicks at home when we were back in Chicago for Christmas in a game they lost by 23 in an incredibly poor showing. By the end of the game, the crowd was cheering far more loudly when Derrick Rose made a three than they had for the home team the entire game. A very odd moment

In addition, IIRC, they have a protected pick with the NY Knicks (Porzingas trade). If they stay inside the top 10 picks in the lottery, they keep the pick. They were tied for 10th with the Bulls going into last night's game.
