It just shows how different the NBA is than college. Meyers was an ok college player. He didn’t dominate but he has had a decent NBA career. Meanwhile Kofi who dominated college probably won’t ever play in the NBA

Always felt bad for Meyers when everything went down. Spewing out toxic garbage is a (sad) part of video game culture and it's easy to get sucked into saying things that you don't mean or even fully understand. From his apology and subsequent behavior it was clear that he felt terrible about what happened and was willing to grow as a person as a result of the experience. That's all that you can expect from someone in his position and more than most people do to make up for a transgression. I get that if he was an all-star he wouldn't have been waived in the first place (a la Kyrie) but it's still nice to see him getting a shot to renew his reputation and finish his career the right way

Meyers is a 7'1 freak athlete that put up a 50/40/90 shooting season. If you watched him do an open gym workout you would think he is an all star.

Well I feel BU would have used Meyers differently than Weber did. Meyers is the most athletic and had the highest ceiling of any Illini Center ever and was selected 11th overall after his Sophomore year for a reason. I know Kofi had a better college career but man I recall Meyers and his athleticism and wonder what may have happened if he had been used differently. He was also very strong only one player out benched him at the combine. Not many top picks don’t even make all conference but it was obvious to so many he had ability to do so much more. He was setting picks out by the three as often as playing more inside in Weber’s final season as head coach. I always wondered what he could’ve done in a different system. Guy was a freak athlete as mentioned and it was easy to see. He is still only 30 and I hope he excels

Malcolm Hill signed with the Birmingham Squadron, the G-League affiliate for the Pelicans:

He previously played for them last season before getting picked up by the Hawks and Bulls on 10-day contracts, then getting his 2-way deal with the Bulls.

I live near B-ham! Maybe I’ll catch a game to see him.

With this discussion of Malcolm Hill and it being Sr. night, thought I'd post this great video. I still remember watching this game and realizing Malcolm had quietly become one of my all-time favorite Illini.

"Ironically, Feliz has been a part of winning seasons every season in Spain."

I don't get why that's ironic. Was this article written by Alanis Morissette?

Some hard-hitting journalism all around on this piece. "Feliz has spent 3 seasons in Spain. These past two seasons, he has played for Joventut Badalona in what looks like Spain’s toughest league."
