Iowa is not in a great spot right now (LvilleILL1)

So they are using City Park (or whatever corporate name is now on the MLS Stadium in St. Louis)? Yes, weird choice given there's no Big Ten team in Missouri. I'd also say that while the idea of playing in a MLS or NWSL stadium adds a nice touch, I'd rather play in a smaller venue that will have more atmosphere.1-1 draw at Michigan to end the regular season. Looks like they will be forced to play in an opening round game on October 30 with a win putting them in a quarterfinal. Also it is so random that the semifinals and final are in St Louis.
Except for the fact that it's turf and there are also permanent football lines on the field, Des Moines' Mediacom Stadium would be a great place to hold an event like this. About 5K of capacity, as centrally located as you can probably get for the conference footprint, the field is 118 x 75 since there's no track at the stadium, and the seats are right on top of the field. For a few years, the Big 12 held its conference tournament at the 3,500 seat stadium at Swope Park Soccer Village (Sporting KC's previous practice facility). But I totally understand the conference not wanting to play its women's soccer tournament at a stadium whose first focus is the city's high school football programs and a Missouri Valley Conference soccer program.
