We play Rutgers at home on Weds. This isn't your father's Rutgers. Vivian Stringer has retired and Coquese Washington has taken over. It doesn't appear that the transition has gone well. They have only 8 players on their roster and currently stand 4-6. They've lost badly to any team with a pulse.

It is amazing that the men are 13 and women are 19 in the first NET rankings.
The Indiana game has to be the most encouraging result for the lady's team that I have seen all year. They beat up on a bunch of cupcakes, lost a tough one, but had a shot at beating the number 5 team on the road!

They have my attention, for the first time not in a negative, embarrassing way.

Go Fighting Illini-ettes!

Dan, is it doable to put the women's schedule on the right hand side of the main page? Need to get more visibility for the women's team.
Or, if that is impractical, maybe their upcoming games could be listed in the box at the top of the page along with the men's games?
The WBB schedule might just get added to the home page if the winning keeps up. Will check back in January. Go Illini

Question for those much more knowledgeable about team: what’s the breakdown of contributors as far as transfers, freshmen and holdovers?

Here’s the roster with links to their bio’s. Safe to say transfers are a large part of the scoring, but there are a couple holdovers playing solid roles.

Wow. What a quick turnaround it has been. Amazing. Maybe they'll be ranked next week? When's the last time that happened?
