Cook didn't play as well as her normal self after missing 3 games. Lets hope she gets it together in second half, if healthy she will. Makira is that kind of player and ability she can. We adjusted some but I'll bet they didn't fully buy into the scouting report of how good ND was on D. They are quick, physical and we are small, but willing. Except for Bryant we didn't shoot real well, I think we will. Might have to pick up the pace a bit and draw some more fouls. I think we can stay close and have a chance for the win. All you can ask for against a top ten team, go into that last minute with the chance to win.

One more thought fouls. Guess we will find out how good our depth is on the front line, we have 4 players with 2 fouls and Ndour, a nice surprise, with 3. We need someone at the game to work on the ref, hint, hint.

South Carolina has destroyed everyone. I love women’s basketball but the talent gap between the top teams and everyone else is still really big imo. It can be overcome some games but just look at us against Saint Peter’s. Heck ND beat northwestern 110-52.

We played solid d for sure. ND is ranked 16th now.

Maryland might not be amazing this year compared to last year where they were a top 15 team but this is just gross. And SC is normally a top 5 team and sometimes the best team I think they have 2 titles in the last 6-7 years? But Jesus this is domination over good opponents.

Sure can tell who the announcers are rooting for.....Not even describing when the Illini score sometimes.....too busy expounding the domer's......Don't get me wrong , they are good , but there are 2 teams out there busting their butts........They really really are......

Great entertaining game - this will be good for Women's Basketball in general, and also pay dividends down the road for the well-named Fighting Illini.
